Everyone agrees that the liquid-cooled R1250GS is a superb motorcycle. This bike has been serviced exclusively at Bob’s though, obviously, it wasn’t ridden enough to need very much. It had its “break-in” service done in May of 2019; then on its last visit to our shop in July of this year, we performed a routine Bi-Annual service. Since that service was done, the bike was not ridden at all. That’s right, ZERO miles have been ridden on it since then. Regardless of its very light usage and the fact that we were already familiar with its service history, we ran it through the same stringent evaluation process we do with every incoming pre-owned bike — checking every component and function, looking for any flaw, any part that may show excessive wear, any performance or safety issue that could possibly stand in the way of providing the next owner with the best possible experience. During that process we discovered that the rear tire had been plugged. So this bike now wears a brand NEW Rear Tire.
Happily, we can report that this bike needed nothing else done to meet our very high standards. Its engine, ABS, clutch, battery, and all other critical systems are in perfect condition, ready to provide thousands of miles of happy riding before the next scheduled maintenance is due, and then for a L-O-N-G time after that. We test rode it ourselves to be sure, of course, and then put it through Maryland State Inspection for its final and official seal of approval.
On the cosmetic side of things, just glance through all the photos; it’s obvious how impeccably good this bike looks. However, our policy dictates full disclosure because we believe our buyers deserve to know everything: the good, bad, and ugly — so now we’ll reveal this bike’s flaws. There is very minor left-side tip-over damage visible on the valve cover guard, edge of the mirror and the hand guard. That’s it. It’s the kind of thing you might not even notice it if we didn’t point it out. We don’t often get to say a bike is perfect; technically this one isn’t either (how could it be if it was actually ridden?), but in spite of those essentially negligible blems, this bike is as close to PERFECT as a pre-owned bike could ever be. When you see it you’ll believe it!
