Description
The Full Throttle is inspired by the born-again sport of flat-track racing, and maybe Super Hooligan Racing in particular. Ducati calls its design aesthetic “post-heritage,” and it’s easy to see why. Sure, it does rather look like a historical scrambler, but rather than being a slave to history, Ducati’s version pays a passing tribute as it forges a path all its own. The lucky buyer of THIS stunning, one-owner, very low-mile motorcycle will undoubtedly be forging a path of his or her own too. Because a bike like this doesn’t call out to riders who are content with same ol’–same ol’, but to those who would rather find something different; something all their own.
This Scrambler Full Throttle is begging for an adventure. As this one is barely used, really not even broken in, its new owner will be forgiven for thinking they have just stolen a brand new bike. The 73-horsepower, 803 cc Desmodromic L-twin powerplant takes care of the most important business — you’ll know it’s all Ducati. Then there’s the Scrambler’s standard equipment which includes a steel tank with interchangeable aluminum side panels, headlight with glass lens, LED light-guide and interchangeable aluminum cover, LED rear light with diffusion-light, LCD instruments with interchangeable aluminum cover, machine-finished aluminum belt covers, and an under-seat storage compartment with USB socket. Additionally, this Full Throttle version comes equipped with extra goodies such as a competition-type, twin-outlet Termignoni slip-on muffler, low-rise aluminum handlebar, flat-track inspired seat in black with yellow accents, sport tail piece with dedicated turn indicator support, sports style foreshortened front and rear fenders, black fuel tank side covers with yellow checkered-flag graphics and dedicated logos. Take particular note of the LOW seat height. This bike will be an easy fit for a lot of riders!
The bike has only been in use long enough to get its break-in service performed, which the previous owner had done dutifully on schedule. When the bike came to us, we went ahead and gave it another fresh oil & filter change as part of our standard service preparation. We also performed a top-to-bottom pre-purchase inspection to assure every component meets or exceeds factory spec for safety and performance, filled the Pirelli tires with nitrogen to give them a performance and longevity edge, ran it through the rigorous Maryland State Inspection, which it passed easily, and finally turned it over to our in-house detailer to put the final clean & polish on it. The only tiny thing worth mentioning as far as its appearance goes, are a few very minor scratches on the left engine cover, evidently from a gentle tip-over. Other than that, this bike is A1, like-new condition, inside and out.
