This G310R was purchased just over ago at Bob’s. It’s a great-looking Strato Blue Metallic roadster that’s not only in great mechanical and cosmetic condition, it still has almost two years remaining on its factory 3-year, 36,000 mile warranty! What a perfect opportunity to get started on a BMW. It’s lightweight and nimble, with a 34 horsepower, torquey, single cylinder motor that behaves in sporting fashion and feels as much fun as it does capable and controlled. A great runabout in the city or suburbs, but also a total pleasure out on the twisting ribbons of country blacktop. Do you want to take it on the highway? No problem. It’s got all the power, precise handling, and compliant suspension you need to guarantee your confidence. There’s nothing stopping you — and that includes the price point. This bike runs flawlessly. It has had all its prescribed maintenance done right and on schedule. When it came back to us in trade, we gave it our thorough safety and performance evaluation and found no issues whatsoever. You should know: our top technicians leave no stone unturned when they examine pre-owned bikes that are heading to the showroom floor: every component and performance aspect is checked out, first on the lift, and then as part of a critical test ride. Finally, for the formal seal of approval, the bike goes through the tough Maryland Safety Inspection. This one, of course, passed without a hitch.
On the cosmetic side of things, well, you can see for yourself: the bike is gorgeous. But we’ll happily point out its very minor flaws because you might not otherwise ever notice them. There is a very small scratch in the paint on the front fender. It’s negligible. There is also a bit of a scuff – about one centimeter long – on the black plastic chain guard. You can see it in the photo. The only other blemish worth mentioning is that there is some minor discoloration in the flat black paint on the rear section of the muffler. It’s actually quite typical wear. Otherwise, our in-house pro detailer went to work on this motorcycle to bring out its best. He cleaned in every crevice and polished it to a glowing luster, so that it now shines as good as new. The ONLY thing that will make G310R look better is the beaming smile on your face when you ride it home.
