This motorcycle is in excellent condition, both mechanically and cosmetically. We would have given it a perfect cosmetic rating except that there are three small scratches on the tank and a minor scratch on the left-side valve cover. Those little things bring our critical evaluation down to 9 or 9.5. Otherwise, the machine would practically pass for brand new. Please note: there are a few months left on the original 3-year/36,000 mile BMW warranty (expires December 2, 2019). That means you’ll be able to enjoy riding throughout the fall season — which we think is the best riding time of year — with the confidence of knowing you’re well protected under the BMW warranty.
The R nineT Scrambler has an air and oil cooled 1170cc engine capable of generating 110hp. With disc brakes front and rear, 6-Speed gearbox, and the famed BMW Paralever rear suspension, the bike is perfect for everything from cruising through the city to bending deep into the sweeping turns of a country road to, naturally, scrambling over the occasional unpaved roads you’re bound to encounter on your explorations. Comfort and capability are combined in its design. Features such as BMW’s advanced ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), ASC (Automatic Stability Control), and Heated Grips offer modern performance advantages, while design touches like the Cross Spoke Wheels and the high-mounted 2-into-1 exhaust with its really nice rumble, give the bike its retro scrambler flair. It may look “Old School,” but this bike actually packs everything you need for modern convenience and confident riding. The previous owner added smart CRG bar-end mirrors and a handlebar-mounted GPS bracket to the bike, but otherwise its equipment is original stock. This motorcycle was sold new and serviced at Bob’s. Now, our BMW Master Certified Techs have given it another thorough servicing in preparation for its next life with YOU: We did a Bi-Annual Service on it (minus changing engine oil & filter because they had been changed just prior to the trade-in) that included renewing brake fluid, transmission and final drive oils, and a full 38-point pre-purchase inspection with a comprehensive test ride to check it all out. We did the Maryland State Inspection (which it passed, of course), and finally, a complete professional detailing. This bike is a gem and runs flawlessly. The next service won’t be required for several thousand miles and the next owner will ride away worry-free.
