NEW ARRIVAL!
Back in 2016, Motorcycle.com rightfully named the KTM 390 Duke as Best Entry-Level Motorcycle. Then, in another glowing review a year later, they stated that the 2017 Duke got even BETTER with greater comfort, higher technology and a bit more power. We are proud to offer this stunning 2017 390 Duke; it boasts super LOW MILES and is nearly perfect in every aspect. Combining immense FUN and VALUE in equal measure, it’s the kind of bike that comes along all too rarely. And it doesn’t matter if you’re an “entry-level” rider or an old pro who’s seen it all; you can have a blast riding the pants off this bike, knowing that you just won’t get more delight for your dollar. DON’T WAIT. Call 1-888-269-2627 right now to speak with one of our BMW Certified Sales Advisors — Paris, Jim, or Todd. Call TODAY!
What do you think of when you think of Austria — Arnold Schwarzenegger? The Von Trapp Family Singers? Red Bull energy drinks? Yes, those things all come from Austria. However, not too many Americans think of KTM as an Austrian brand, but it is — and Austrians are VERY proud of their home grown motorcycles. (Much more so than they are of Arnold or the Von Trapp Family, believe me!) KTM, though a relatively small company compared to other well known motorcycle makers on the world stage, has been quietly innovating for many years. Their awesome technological, design, and styling breakthroughs have been copiously “borrowed” by all the other manufactures. The 390 Duke and its big brother the Super Duke, among other KTM models, are simply trend-setters in motorcycle design, and serious riders universally LOVE them. You will too!
Some of the KTM 390 Duke’s FEATURES include:
• ABS Brakes (disengageable)
• Ride-by-Wire throttle control
• Bosch EFI Fuel System
• Bosch EMS Engine Management
• PASC slipper clutch
• Aluminum Swingarm
• Steel Trellis Frame and Subframe
• WP Suspension, front and rear
• Color TFT Instrument Display
• Full LED Lighting
With such LOW mileage on this bike, service and maintenance issues would not likely be something you’d worry too much about. But we did a thorough mechanical examination and safety check anyway. And we’re very glad to report that this machine had no troubling issues of any kind. Its one and only previous owner had taken it to his local KTM dealer for a full scheduled maintenance just days before bringing it to us for trade. Thus, all of its fluid and filter changes and required adjustments have been done properly. For good measure, since the bike had apparently sat unused for some time, we gave it a complete fuel system treatment to insure smooth running and no gummed-up throttle bodies or injectors. Additionally, we filled its tires with nitrogen to enhance their performance and prolong wear. Both tires, incidentally, have plenty of safe, usable tread remaining on them. We took it for a rigorous, extended test ride to be sure of its complete running integrity where the rubber meets the road, and finished off with a Maryland State Inspection. This bike is ready to run wild.
If you are one of those people who often visit our site to read about the pre-owned bikes we sell, there’s one phrase you’ve seen countless times in our descriptions: “tip-over damage.” Well, that’s because it’s just one of those things we motorcyclists have to accept — gravity has a way of winning every argument, no matter how trivial. But guess what? THIS MOTORCYCLE HAS NO TIP-OVER DAMAGE! Yes, it’s such an amazing thing, we feel it has to be shouted from the rooftop. In fact, in our full disclosure of the cosmetic condition of this bike, there is but one thing worth mentioning. The seats have a slight amount of discoloration due to, what we guess, is sunlight exposure. That’s it. Used bikes don’t get closer to perfect than this one. And of course, after its meticulous cleaning and detailing, it basically looks like a brand new motorcycle.
When you take command of this bike you will also get two keys, the full original tool kit, and the original owner’s books.
Finally, there were a few lines in the Motorcycle.com review of the 390 Duke that, to us, really captures the essence of what it’s like to ride this machine. Hopefully they don’t mind if we share it here. “Riding the 390 Duke is almost completely delightful … The Duke excels at squirting through the tight confines of urban traffic, and it has plenty enough power to cruise at 80-per while its counterbalanced engine keeps vibration levels from becoming oppressive. Carving a twisty road is a riot, with responsive steering enabling changes of direction quicker than a border collie while maintaining the stability of a basset hound. It’s truly a wonderful backroad scratcher that flatters its rider.”
Can we say more? Probably not. Visit Bob’s today to test ride this bike yourself!
