This 2016 BMW S1000RR has only 4,350 miles on it; barely broken in by anyone’s standards. It has had two previous owners who, as far as we can determine, treated it well and gave it the kind of care it deserves. Our Master Certified BMW technicians gave this bike a full physical to prepare it for you. They checked it out thoroughly with our tough 38-Point Safety Inspection, then gave it an Annual Service which includes engine oil and filter change, along with making any needed adjustments to be sure it meets all performance and safety metrics. They installed a new Battery Tender quick-connect harness (you’ll be glad that’s there) along with a NEW REAR TIRE, a Michelin Power 5 high-performance tire to match the front tire which had been very recently mounted and still is like new. There were a few bits that had been removed by the previous owner to make the bike appear more “performance-custom,” but which we now needed to reinstall so it would pass Maryland Safety Inspection — which it did with flying colors. We then took the machine out for a 14 mile test ride to make absolutely sure all its functions and performance attributes are at or above factory spec. Lastly, we turned it over to our professional detailer who deep cleaned and restored the bike’s cosmetics to their full beauty. The bike not only runs like new, it shines like new as well!
We’re happy to report that this bike displays absolutely no cosmetic flaws worth mentioning — and you know our picky evaluators WOULD gladly point them out if there were any! So, you’ll find only a nominal amount of evidence that the bike was ridden at all — including, we’ll admit, the one thing common to many S1000RRs: slightly more than average wear on the handgrips, an inevitable consequence of its riders “hanging on for dear life!”
