This 2016 BMW S1000RR has 6,700 miles on it — just getting broken in by our standards. Its previous owner, as far as we can determine, treated it well and gave it the care it deserves. It came from BMW with the Race and Dynamic Option Packages which include such awesome features as DTC (Dynamic Traction Control), DDC (Dynamic Damping Control), Ride Modes Pro, Gear Shift Assist Pro, and ABS Pro. Additionally, it has a Stompgrip Tank Traction knee pad kit for even more refined rider control. You want to talk about an ideal Track Day bike, this is it! But one of the unique qualities of the S1000RR is how compatible it is for life in the “real world” as well. For a hyper sport bike, the street riding comfort this machine offers is unequaled. So features like Electronic Cruise Control and Heated Grips are here too. When this bike first came in, our guys in Service Department gave it the full treatment. They started with the standard Bi-Annual Service, which includes engine oil and filter, brake fluid change front and rear, chain adjustment and lubrication. We did our tough 38-Point Safety Inspection, checking it out thoroughly to be sure every component and function meets all performance and safety metrics. The tires on the bike now are still quite fresh and will last well into the future before needing replacement. Nevertheless, we filled them with nitrogen to enhance their performance and extend the mileage even further. We installed a Battery Tender quick-connect harness to facilitate your battery maintenance going forward. Of course, we took the machine out for a 14 mile test ride to make absolutely sure all its safety and performance attributes and its ride-ability are up to par or better. Then it was run through the rigorous Maryland State Inspection, where it passed, of course!
Lastly, our professional detailer went to work on it. He got into every nook and cranny to deep clean and polish it to like-new condition as much as possible; and you can see the results of his work in the photos. The full-luster of its two-tone red and black metallic paint scheme is unquestionably gorgeous. But, as great as this bike looks, we’d be remiss not to point out a couple of cosmetic blems that you should know about, and which are also visible in the photos. There are some little dings on the left-side outer edge of the fuel tank that appear to be the result of a tip-over, and there are some scratches and tiny gouges in a small area on one side of the front wheel, either from a careless tire change, or perhaps a minor curb scrape. These are both superficial cosmetic issues, but noticeable nonetheless. Otherwise, the bike is in excellent condition and we’re certain you will be impressed with its appearance.
