The bike got the usual thorough work out in our Service Department beginning with a total safety inspection, then a Bi-Annual Service (Fluids & Filter change), new tires mounted, an extended test ride to verify each component’s functionality to spec and the bike’s total performance integrity, and finally to Maryland State Inspection where it passed like it was High Honor Roll. This bike is a monster and it runs like it’s hell-bent on getting you to Jupiter and back before dinner.
If appearances matter to you, this bike’s most important feature is that it’s BLACK, the color any real motorcyclist is always proud to wear. Seriously though, when the bike came in for evaluation, it was already in excellent condition with only a few small signs of wear on painted surfaces. Our pro in-house detailer got his hands on it and was able to make almost all of it disappear using his magical lotions and potions (and a few super-natural incantations we’re not allowed to reveal). The only remaining blemish worth mentioning is the bit of rust on the exhaust pipe between the collector and the muffler. You can see it in the photo — visible, though inconsequential. And in case we really need to remind anyone of their priorities, you can’t see it while you’re RIDING!
Being fully serviced and in such great cosmetic and mechanical condition this S1000RR is a Bob’s BMW Advantage Certified Bike.
