This bike has had just one prior owner. He purchased it new at Bob’s in April of 2015, and we’re pleased to report that the bike was always well taken care of, regularly maintained, never crashed or abused. Most importantly, with a low-to-moderate 11,214 miles clocked, it has a good amount of regular use for its age. Not too many miles to have caused excessive or premature wear, and not too few miles to have allowed gremlins to take up residence in the dark corners. It’s Goldilocks approved: just right.

When this S1000RR came back to us to sell, our Master Certified BMW technicians went to work to check every component and every system, top to bottom. They fixed, adjusted, or replaced anything that didn’t measure at or above BMW factory spec. The bike was in good shape already because, as we mentioned, it had been faithfully serviced (at Bob’s) by it’s owner. Nevertheless, we performed a Bi-Annual Service which includes engine oil & filter change, a full brake fluid change, fresh air filter, complete chain service, fresh fuel with fuel treatment, and we filled the tires with nitrogen for best possible performance and longevity. Those tires, by the way, are Metzeler Sportecs that were replaced recently by the owner and have only about 600 miles on them — still practically NEW. The bike got a 14 mile test ride (in this case, our techs might call it a joy ride) to make absolutely sure all its functions and performance attributes measured up. Lastly, it was run through the rigorous Maryland State Inspection (Passed, of course) and then turned over to our professional detailer who cleaned and polished in every nook and cranny to restore its cosmetics to full luster — yeah, that kind of deep Black Storm Metallic luster you’ll lust for when you see it.
Is it completely flawless? Well, no. But there’s really nothing here beyond very light typical wear. Get down low and look closely and you’ll see a few tiny chips in the paint along the forward facing edges where stuff from the road leaves evidence. A scratch here and there on places such as the bar-end, passenger peg, and axle slider — all barely visible. The grips show a bit of wear, probably from, as one of our wise-cracking techs said, “the last guy holding on for dear life.” And there is one more issue we want to disclose: some small cracks in the taillight lens (see photo) that appear to have been repaired with super-glue. The bike has passed inspection with this and there is no other downside from it other than a cosmetic one (and we may even manage to find a replacement lens for it by the time you ride this beauty home), but for now, this taillight conveys as is. Still, when you see this bike in person, you will understand immediately what a super machine it really is: super clean, super sexy, super desirable.
