This motorcycle is LOADED! There’s hardly anything else you could imagine adding to it. The K1600GTL is BMW’s high-performance sport-tourer. It’s a WunderBike —Top of its Class — with its powerful, 1,649cc, SIX-cylinder thruster and industry leading command & control tech-tronics that, combined with its precise and predictable handling, promises a ride with as much confidence as it has comfort. This machine will put a smile on your face and keep it there for a long, long time to come.
Cosmetically, the bike easily rates at least a 9 out of 10 on our critical evaluation. It received our famous, meticulous detailing, and at the end of that revealed only scant evidence of its previous life. The bike was purchased new at Bob’s and we are very familiar with its one and only previous owner. We’re glad to say that he joyfully rode this rocket as it was intended, but we also know that he took excellent care of it the whole time. What few negligible signs of use you may find on it — and, honestly, none of it deserves any special mention here — are well below the typical wear you’d expect to see on a bike with nearly 50,000 miles on it.
When this bike came to us we gave it the full pre-purchase treatment in our Service Department: complete diagnostic evaluation and 38-point safety inspection. Not long before deciding to trade it in, the bike’s owner brought it to Bob’s for Bi-Annual maintenance which includes changing engine oil and filter, changing drive-train oils, and brake fluid, and more. Very few miles were ridden on it since then and our mechanical evaluation showed that its fluids and systems were all still in top notch condition. To bring it up to our showroom standards, however, we decided to install a pair of NEW TIRES — Michelin Pilot Road 4-GTs — and fill them with nitrogen to prolong their life and enhance performance. We also installed new Rear Brake Pads. This machine is now in perfect mechanical condition; you can ride it ANYWHERE you wish to travel with complete confidence. Of course, we capped off our pre-purchase preparations with an extended test ride and the rigorous Maryland State Inspection. It is ready to GO!
