The Low Suspension Package on this F700GS includes the combination of low seat as well as the shorter suspension. The two make a dramatic difference in the riding height of the bike. If you are looking for a dual sport / adventure motorcycle or even just a fantastic commuter and travel bike, but have hesitated because of how tall BMWs normally are, this may be the right bike for you. The well-proven parallel twin cylinder engine is liquid cooled and has four valves per cylinder for maximum efficiency and power. Capable of producing 85 hp at 7,500 RPM’s and 83 NM of torque (that’s a lot of torque). Double disk brakes in the front and a single disk in the rear with ABS. Lightweight, very comfortable and agile, the 700 series GS bikes are known as great urban city commuters, but also can also be set up for long distance travel, off-road use, or pretty much any adventure you can think of. A very versatile and dynamic dual sport, not as heavy as the bigger twins on the market, but much more capable and comfortable on the highway and faster roads then other smaller enduros, the F700GS really fills the gap as the best lightweight adventure bike in the market.
Bob’s BMW’s master certified technicians gave this bike a complete work up to assure that your ownership experience will be safe and satisfying. It got a 12K service which included renewing all fluids and filters. We put on a new chain and front & rear sprockets, then new front & rear Metzeler Tourance Next tires – filled with nitrogen to enhance their performance and longevity. It got a BMW diagnostic check, and our own 38 point safety inspection. All checked out great so we completed the rigorous Maryland State Inspection and, finally, an extended test ride to insure that each feature and function operates as designed. This machine runs great, and as its next owner, you will not have to worry about doing any maintenance for a long while.
Cosmetically the bike is in excellent shape, showing barely any signs of the miles and years under its belt. It had been well cared for to begin with, but our in-house Pro Detailer freshened it up even further, and now the bike glistens with renewed youth.
