Let’s talk about the cosmetics. Most adventure tour riders appreciate the “natural” look their bikes acquire from actually having traveled to a few places. Well, this bike will respectably satisfy with its little badges of experience here and there. While overall it’s in very fine shape, you will probably be able to spot some evidence of what we would call typical tip-over damage — mostly on the left side: a few minor scrapes and scratches on the foot pegs, shifter lever, clutch lever, mirror, engine protection bars, and luggage. Very little of this is visible in the photos, and from that you can learn two things: one is that these blemishes are pretty insignificant, and the other is that we’re not trying to hide anything. Full disclosure is the way we do things at Bob’s. We WANT you to know as much as possible about a pre-owned bike BEFORE you come in to see it.

When the guys in our Service Department got their hands on this machine they ran the usual gauntlet of checks and tests to be sure every component and every performance function was up to spec, safe, and sound before rolling it onto the showroom floor. In this case, that included, of course, the routine procedure of an engine oil & filter change, a brake fluid change, and a tank full of fresh fuel. Then we did more. We gave it NEW TIRES (Metzeler Tourance) front & rear and filled them with nitrogen to maximize their wear and performance characteristics. Our tech crew decided that due of the aforementioned tip-over incident, this bike needed a new handlebar. The bar-end weight on one side was damaged beyond what we thought was acceptable and when we went to replace it, found that the attachment point at the handlebar was damaged as well. Our solution here was a total renewal – a new handlebar, new bar-weights on both sides, and to top it off, new Grab-On grip covers too. Now, with the splendid new view you get from the rider’s cockpit, along with the spanking good looks of the rest of the bike, you’ll be forgiven for thinking you’re aboard a brand new machine!

Finally, this bike was taken for an extended test ride, run through (and passed) Maryland Safety Inspection, and meticulously cleaned and detailed by our in-house pro. When you come to ride it home, you’ll get three keys, the original owner’s books and tool kit. Best of all. you’ll also get the sublime confidence that you just made a very smart decision. This machine is ready and waiting to thrill you.
