Description

Opportunity is knocking on your door in the form of a PROJECT BIKE that, we believe, won’t require too much investment of time and talent (and, yes, a little more money) to give it a second life. This twelve-year-old R1200GS Adventure has already had one good life with its ONLY previous owner, who rode it passionately for over 100 thousand miles! Okay, if you’re not already experienced with BMWs, you might be thinking this bike’s days are over and it should just be given a decent burial. But no. We see BMWs all the time with well over 100K – sometimes over 200K miles, still delivering reliable riding pleasure to their proud owners. And we see no reason that this bike would be any different. But of course, it may take the right buyer to guide it lovingly from its present condition back to the safe and responsive performance standards it’s destined to have. Is it YOU? Are you ready for the PROJECT BIKE challenge? To find out more RIGHT NOW, call 1-888-269-2627 to speak with one of our BMW Certified Sales Advisors — Jim, Todd, or Kyle. Call TODAY!

As with all PROJECT BIKES we want buyers to know as much as possible about the bike before making a purchase. We’ve nothing to hide and our only goal is that the new owner for each and every Project Bike feels they paid fairly and got a good, if not great value in the deal. We encourage people to call, schedule a time to meet with one of our sales advisors and inspect each machine in person so they fully understand all the positives as well as the potential downsides involved in the refurbishing process. Please take a moment to learn more about Bob’s Project Bike program and read our general disclaimer HERE.

Here is a summary of the MECHANICAL issues that we’re aware of. We did a limited diagnosis and determined that the bike needs a new battery and a new fuel pump. We could not start it in its current state, but with further testing were able to pinpoint those two factors as the primary cause. Other than that, of course, its next owner should plan on a thorough scheduled maintenance procedure where all fluids and filters are changed and necessary performance adjustments are made. We do not know if the bike requires more than this, however, no other issues were immediately apparent to our pro techs who examined it.

Cosmetically… well, we think you could expect a bike of this age and mileage to look a lot worse! You won’t be surprised to learn that its previous owner didn’t love washing his bike as much as loved RIDING it. And maybe you will be the same way. But if you do decide to restore its appearance, you’ll be glad to know that your worst challenge will be cleaning the road grunge off. We only gave it a quick hose-down. But that enabled us to see that its cosmetic issues are pretty much limited to routine minor scratches, scrapes and dings associated with tip-overs and the ordinary life of a bike well-ridden. There are no serious injuries on it anywhere. This Project Bike will clean up nicely!

Think ahead to the rewards that await you after a job well done! Because, when you’re finished reviving this Project Bike, you have a wonderful R1200GS Adventure with all THESE GOODIES on board:
