NEW ARRIVAL!
Look! You would not guess that this bike is twelve years old with close to 50K miles under its belt. It just looks too GOOD to have been used so well, right? Undoubtedly, you’ve heard the legend about BMWs lasting so long and running so well and holding their value long after most other bikes are on their way to the scrap pile. Well, take a good look at this K1300S, because it’s living proof that the legend is real! Sure, this gleaming machine shows a few signs of its experiences if you look close enough, but you know what? We think the bike only looks BETTER because of it. What do you think? Wait… before you answer, take it for a test ride. Then, after your heart rate returns to normal, your eyes shrink back to their normal size, and you stop grinning long enough to speak again, you can tell us your opinion of “old” BMWs.

The K1300S is a Sport-Touring Superstar, with emphasis on the Sport. Its liquid-cooled 1,293 cc in-line four-cylinder engine provides 175 horses of neck-snapping acceleration across a very wide RPM range while BMW’s exclusive Duolever front- and Paralever rear-suspension assure controlled and precise handling even in the twistiest curves. Of course, it also features BMW’s advanced ABS to guarantee that the stopping is as safe and sure as the going. These days, many buyers choose to load up their new purchase with a long list of factory options, however the previous (and only) owner of this machine was apparently frugal and chose only one: Heated Grips. And we think if you had to choose just one option, that would probably be the most practical one for daily, real world riding conditions. But the bike is not completely without frills. She also comes with a few well-chosen aftermarket accessories:
• Two Brothers Carbon Exhaust
• Zero Gravity Tinted Windscreen
• Powerlet Auxiliary Accessory Socket
• Carbon Fiber Tank Top Trim
Here’s the SERVICE/MAINTENANCE rundown. We gave it a thorough mechanical evaluation and safety check, repairing and/or replacing anything that it needed to restore the bike’s utmost performance condition. We did an Inspection 1 (42K) and Annual Service which essentially means it has had all new vital fluids and filters replaced – including brake fluid – and all scheduled checks and adjustments made. We gave it four new spark plugs, refreshed various seals and gaskets, and we replaced the wheel bearings in the front wheel. We installed NEW TIRES: Michelin Pilot Road 4 GT, front & rear, and filled them with nitrogen to maximize their wear and performance characteristics. We took it for an extended test ride because, when it comes to checking service work, the proof is on the pavement. And finally, we put it through Maryland Safety Inspection for its legal Okie Dokie. All signs indicate that this bike’s ONE and only previous owner rode and cared for this machine in a responsible manner. And now that we have given it the utmost maintenance checkup and workout, YOU can be confident this great-running, reliable machine will propel you well into the future without worries.
The official name of this paint scheme is Sapphire Black/Granite Grey/Magma Red — yeah, that’s quite a mouthful. But other than that, there’s not much to say about the cosmetics of this bike. As mentioned above, it’s impossible to completely hide twelve years and 49,000 miles of riding, which shows up here and there with very minor paint scratches (almost invisible!), wear on the handgrips, and some exhaust system patina — it’s all typical stuff and far less than you’d expect for a bike of this age. Remarkably, there is only one cosmetic flaw worth mentioning, and it’s hardly important: a small area on the lower right side where the black engine paint has bubbled a bit. (A closeup photo of it is included in the gallery.) Bottom line, this is a positively beautiful motorcycle that anyone would be proud to own.
Well, to be perfectly honest, there is one other noticeable result of this bike’s age and mileage: it has become even more AFFORDABLE! So if YOU want to be the one who saves on a great Sport-Tourer, don’t sit around wishing. Call or drop in to speak to one of our BMW Certified Sales Associates TODAY!
