Description
Some of the PROJECT BIKES we offer are purchased right away because they’re just too good to pass up. We expect this 2005 F650GS will be one of those. This is an ABS model, it RUNS WELL, it has been recently serviced, it comes with some very nice extra equipment, and it’s in overall good shape. It could be an ideal first bike for someone. So why are we selling it as a PROJECT BIKE? Read on to find out. Or make sure you don’t miss out by calling 1-888-269-2627 RIGHT NOW to speak with one of our BMW Certified Sales Advisors —Jim, Todd, or Kyle. Call TODAY!
As with all PROJECT BIKES we want buyers to know as much as possible about the bike before making a purchase. We’ve nothing to hide and our only goal is that the new owner for each and every PROJECT BIKE feels they paid fairly and got a good, if not great value in the deal. We encourage people to call, schedule a time to meet with one of our sales advisors and inspect each machine in person so they fully understand all the positives as well as the potential downsides involved in the refurbishing process. Please take a moment to learn more about Bob’s PROJECT BIKE program and read our general disclaimer HERE.
This F650GS has had two previous owners. We sold it to its last owner earlier this year; it performed very well then, and it still does! The last owner clearly enjoyed riding this bike, but he was unusually tough on the cosmetics. Thus, it has come back to us with an assortment of scratches, dents, and small broken bits here and there that it didn’t have previously. The worst of it, and the thing that would definitely need fixing before the bike will pass inspection, is a broken left rear turn signal. Its other cosmetic issues, while perhaps unsightly, are not mechanical in nature and do not affect its performance or safe operation. We decided, rather than restoring its appearance ourselves, we’d offer it up AS IS — as a PROJECT BIKE. Someone wishing to make the bike “pretty” again could do so easily with little investment other than time and elbow grease — and Value Priced as this bike is, that project would certainly prove to be rewarding. OR… if looks are not a big thing for you, a couple of quick, cheap fixes are all that stand between you and a legally rideable bike that will get you down the road safely and happily for many years and miles to come.
