You can see from the photos how good this bike looks right now overall. But it’s not perfect — and would you expect a 23 year-old bike with over 86,000 miles on it to be perfect? Of course not. When you examine it in person you’ll see little things like a small tear in the seat cover and a few stains, small scrapes and light scratches here and there. But these blemishes are all minor. It’s clear that the bike was well cared for and, in fact, an extensive, detailed service history was provided by its last owner which you can look over. The main reason we’re offering this machine as a PROJECT BIKE is because of its age and mileage. It does run, but there will be some work needed, and it has not passed Maryland State Inspection. Most notably, the ABS light is on which means there is a problem with the brake system which will need fixing. Most other mechanical issues that surfaced in our evaluation are simply routine maintenance issues. And installing new tires is definitely recommended. One bright note: we installed a NEW BATTERY in it – an Odyssey Battery, the Best! Other bonuses include Auxiliary Driving Lights, Supplemental Handlebar Risers, Auxiliary LED Brake/Tail Light, and GPS!
