THIS Gold Wing is the Tour DCT model which features optional 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission. The DCT functions essentially like an automatic transmission for smooth and effortless riding, Or if you want to, you can manually shift up and down through the gears using the convenient shifter paddles on the hand controls. Users have raved about this feature. This model also comes with the full luggage setup that includes the Top Case which, for 2021 is larger, now 61 liters, adding up to a whopping 121 liters of total storage capacity. Other updates for 2021 include better passenger accommodations and improvements to the styling and audio system. Press reviews have heaped praise on all these upgrades.
But what impresses most about the Gold Wing is its engine: a perfectly balanced, liquid-cooled flat-Six displacing 1,833cc, that churns out creamy smooth torque whenever you twist the grip. The guys in our Service Department didn’t expect to find much that needed to be done with this un-used motorcycle. And they didn’t. Nevertheless, they gave it a top-to-bottom exam just to be sure. It turned out to need a NEW BATTERY, which we installed. Then, as a precaution, since we know that bikes that sit untouched in their garages for long periods can sometimes breed little gremlins, we flushed and replaced the brake fluid and applied a fuel treatment to chase out any gum or deposits that could affect performance. Also, to make your experience optimal, we filled the tires with nitrogen to maximize performance and wear characteristics, and installed a battery-charger quick-connect harness to make your future routine battery maintenance a snap. We took it out for an extended test ride it to verify its safety and performance, then ran it through Maryland State Safety Inspection. We can state categorically, this bike is nothing less than perfect in every way.
