With just over 7,000 miles on it, this two-year-old R nineT is still in its infancy. Riding it, you could easily be convinced it’s brand new. The bike was purchased at Bob’s in mid-July of 2020 and so has a little over a year remaining on its 3-year/36,000 mile BMW Factory Warranty, which you’ll inherit when you take ownership! Boosting your confidence even further is your knowledge that the last owner took fastidious care of this bike and brought it back to Bob’s service department for its scheduled checkups and service. Last fall we saw this machine for its 6K routine maintenance. At that time we also replaced the rear tire and rear brake pads, which have had fewer than 1,000 miles of use since. Now that the bike has come in to be readied for its new owner, our BMW Master Certified Technicians have thoroughly re-checked all its performance functions and safety factors, making adjustments as necessary. They also refreshed the engine oil & filter and installed a NEW FRONT TIRE to keep the recently replaced rear tire company. For good measure, both tires were inflated with nitrogen to maximize their performance and wear characteristics. Our techs always put in an extended test ride to be sure everything is right where the rubber meets the road, and then put it through the rigorous Maryland State Inspection, which it passed, of course!
After its service workout, the bike was handed over to our professional detailer who cleaned and polished it to its final deep Black Storm Metallic glory. What you see now is a bike that not only runs marvelously but is also cosmetically superb. Look closely at the photos — better yet, come in to inspect it in person — and you’ll notice only the typical signs of a previous life. Yes, there is the slight discoloration of the exhaust pipes and minor stains on the twin Akrapovic mufflers’ satin finish. This patina is inevitable and completely normal. Another seemingly inevitable event in the life of any motorcycle is that it will tip over. But the previous owner of this one had the foresight to install ENGINE PROTECTION BARS; and sure enough, they did their duty. Thus, the only minuscule cosmetic flaws worth mentioning on this bike are some scratches on the lower surfaces of those bars where they evidently met the pavement. Beyond that, this bike is flawless and deeply satisfying to gaze upon. See for yourself!
