This handsome R1200GS has had just ONE previous owner who loved everything about the bike. Riding it was his greatest pleasure, of course, and clear proof of that is on the odometer. But what should interest you most as a potential buyer, is the other way this owner loved his bike. He TOOK CARE of it — to a degree we wish everyone would! This was convincingly proved to us when he brought it in for trade, supplying us with detailed notes he’d kept over the years, a complete record of all the bike’s services, warranty work, oil changes, and so on — every bit of maintenance the bike ever needed was done on schedule and by the book. Great record keeping like that is rare, and we’re happy now to pass that service history on to the next owner, not only as tangible assurance of a machine that has been exceptionally well maintained, but also as an inspiration to keep the fine tradition going for the bike’s next chapter — under YOUR command. We don’t have to sell you on what makes the R1200GS such a desirable motorcycle. That seems to be common knowledge the world over, and it’s why every other brand has done their best to create their own version of the GS, hoping to come close to what BMW has mastered. Well, they can keep trying. This GS is the popular water-cooled version (first introduced in 2013) and comes well-equipped and ready to ride to any destination you may choose.

No matter how well a previous owner may have maintained his or her motorcycle prior to bringing it to us, we perform our top-to-bottom technical and safety evaluation with the same thorough diligence. In this case, our complete diagnostic check of every component and function revealed the need for a few things to get done before we present the bike to a new owner to ride home. Undoubtedly, the previous owner’s acute awareness of his bike’s mechanical condition led him to time the precise moment of his trade-in. (Well played strategy!) The bike was due to have all front and rear BRAKE ROTORS and PADS replaced, which we did along with installing NEW TIRES (Metzeler Tourance) front and rear. There was one more critical maintenance job we did which should also be welcome news for anyone considering making this purchase. An often-overlooked warranty maintenance update for these bikes involves replacing the swingarm drain with an updated retrofit part. BMW stipulates that when performing this update on bikes with more than 37,000 miles, the driveshaft should also be examined and replaced if necessary. With the mileage on this GS, the decision was a no-brainer. So, lucky for you, this bike now proudly runs with a new DRIVESHAFT too! Of course, all its fluids, filters, and performance adjustments are right and ready for the road; and speaking of the road, that’s exactly where we took it for an extended test ride to be sure everything runs as it should. It certainly did. Then, a Maryland Safety Inspection was done to officially seal the deal.
With a bike’s mileage approaching 75,000, you may be wondering: on a BMW, is that considered “high” mileage? No. It’s not even close! This R1200GS has a L-O-N-G and wonderful future ahead of it. This bike is ready now to take you anywhere you want to go — but only if you get here first.
On the cosmetic side, let’s just say that the bike looks very good, but doesn’t try hide its nine years of happy experience. It’s been around the block a few times, and that shows in the form of a variety of minor blemishes, light scratches, and other typical signs of use. But there is NOTHING outstanding; no single ding or scrape really worth singling out. It’s just routine wear — and far LESS than you’d ever expect for a bike of this age and mileage. Of course, the bike has been intensively cleaned and meticulously detailed and, as a result, looks not simply like a bike that’s already had a few adventures, but one that’s eager for a lot MORE! Please come and see for yourself.
This 2014 R1200GS, in beautiful Light White, comes with three keys, the original owner’s books, and the factory tool kit. Because it is in such exceptional condition both mechanically and cosmetically, this motorcycle is offered as a Bob’s BMW Advantage Certified Bike. That means that, as its next owner, you are entitled to a service loaner at no charge on your first visit, plus numerous other benefits.
