Description
NEW ARRIVAL!
This BMW R1150RS runs quite well, is well equipped, and generally not too far short of becoming the reliable Sport Touring FUN Machine you never thought you could buy so affordably. We’re offering it as a PROJECT BIKE mainly because of its cosmetic condition. So if you don’t mind taking on a refurbishing project yourself, here’s a remarkable opportunity to get an EXCEPTIONAL VALUE!
Please NOTE: At the moment, due to a surge in newly available Pre-Owned motorcycles at Bob’s, we’re only taking time to post a brief description of this bike for now. We may add more information later — unless someone buys it first! But you can find out everything you need to know RIGHT NOW by simply calling 1-888-269-2627 to speak with one of our BMW Certified Sales Advisors —Jim, Todd or David. Call TODAY!
As with all PROJECT BIKES we want buyers to know as much as possible about the bike before making a purchase. We’ve nothing to hide and our only goal is that the new owner for each and every PROJECT BIKE feels they paid fairly and got a good, if not great value in the deal. We encourage people to call, schedule a time to meet with one of our sales advisors and inspect each machine in person so they fully understand all the positives as well as the potential downsides involved in the refurbishing process. Please take a moment to learn more about Bob’s PROJECT BIKE program and read our general disclaimer HERE.
Quick Preview:
You can see in the photos how this PROJECT BIKE shows greater than average wear and tear, including tip-over damage, various scrapes and scratches, sun-faded surfaces, exhaust system staining and corrosion, and so on. Much of it could be remedied with some simple TLC, while some other blemished bits may need to be replaced to achieve a complete restoration — OR, you can simply live with its proud “badges of experience” as they are and enjoy RIDING.
The best thing about this PROJECT BIKE is that it’s in very good mechanical condition for its age and mileage! It runs WELL (though the idle is too high and needs adjusting), the clutch feels good, it shifts well and, importantly, the ABS system checks out fine! Service issues that will need to be addressed (besides a general tune-up) are that it has a leaking fork seal and the tires need replacing.
AND it has other bonus equipment! BMW System Cases, Givi Top Case and Luggage Rack, Corbin Dual Sport Saddle, Braided Stainless Steel Brake Lines, Remus Muffler, ProGrip Tank Protector, and a Powerlet USB outlet on the dash.
What are you waiting for? This is a PROJECT BIKE that’s ready for action NOW!
