BMW Vintage Tool Kit 1948-69

Genuine BMW, 8-piece tool kit for vintage 1948-1969 BMW motorcycles. This tool kit also includes a faithful reproduction of the classic "BMW" shop towel. The towel measures about 15 x 15 inches and is woven in strong, durable cotton. BMW has long been known for the high quality of their tool kits — a tradition that began many decades ago. Unlike most other manufacturers who provided a nominal selection of emergency-only, throw-away tools, BMWs came with sturdy "real" tools that could be relied on to do the fix — in one's own garage, or by the side of the road if needed. BMW tools would last for years! That's one of the reasons original tool kits that accompanied 1950s and 60s BMWs are so rare. A lot of riders would KEEP their tools rather than convey them when they sold a bike. But even the best tools, if used regularly, will wear out eventually. Whatever your reason for needing to replace the tool kit on your cherished vintage Beemer, here's a great kit that will certainly restore your sense of pride and "completeness." These are the same tools as in the old days, made with the same high German quality. Purists will no doubt note a few slight differences between this offering and an actual original kit from 50 or 60 years ago. (How do we know? Well, Bob is just such a purist — proudly, we should add — and he has at least a couple compete, original kits in his collection to compare to.) Well, if you really have to have a ONE-HUNDRED-PERCENT original tool kit hiding inside that little box on your fuel tank, we say go for it. Let the search begin. And Good Luck! For the rest of us, behold this magnificent reproduction! And let us be thankful that it's available at all.
