Here’s a very special offering from Bob’s BMW — a Brand New Honda Rebel 300 — that will help kick start the 2019 FUNdraising efforts for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (PBTF), the Ride for Kids® and the Cure the Kids® organization. Bob was lucky enough to win this beauty at the 2018 Baltimore-Washington RFK® in September. So while reading this offer, please consider this as an early personal invitation from Bob to join us and the hundreds of other good people and motorcyclists, riding all brands and styles of bikes, to attend the 2019 event on Sunday, October 13th. Perhaps if you raise (and deliver) enough money ($300) to have at least 1 ticket in the bike raffle, you’ll win a bike next and be in a position to consider doing some extra good like Bob intends to do when this one is sold.
This bike just arrived via our friends at Honda Powersports of Crofton who have also been participants and FUNdraisers for this excellent non-profit for a very long time. So, while technically “pre-owned,” it has never been ridden and is a brand new bike that comes with the full factory warranty from American Honda Motor Company (remaining from original date of delivery: October 30, 2018). These 300 cc Rebels are great fun in general and have been best sellers in the market place going back to the days when they were 250 cc machines. Honda has lately increased the displacement and power and redesigned the appearance dramatically – this is a truly a great looking machine that’s ideally suited for newer riders as well as those looking for a smaller, second machine for local rides, errands, commuting, etc. Maybe an ideal bike for the weekend hideaway?
We must share that the new, all black cosmetics, right down to the cool exhaust system is stunning; at a distance it’s not hard to think that this could be a small Harley-Davidson offering until one is almost on top of the machine. The ergonomics (how you fit the bike for those unfamiliar with this term) are outstanding and riders of many different sizes will find it very comfortable. It also boasts one of the lowest seat heights in the industry and sport without sacrificing comfort so riders with less inseam than say Shaq O’Neil will have no issues when stopped at a traffic light, stop sign or just waiting for their garage door to open. The newer chassis and suspension coupled with a larger rear and front tire plus redesigned brakes all adds to the improved stability, handling and performance of this small but highly capable and FUN motorcycle.
New Honda’s in this category come without tool kits or even owner’s manuals; in general the industry has been including fewer of these once common items for quite some time. Instructions are available online through Honda’s portal (www.powersports.honda.com) for everything from operation and maintenance/care guidelines to dealer directories and one can order ($16.95) an owner’s manual so Bob has already set this process in motion and he’ll provide one to the next owner a soon as it arrives. A Honda book covering the warranty, which in this case is 1 year from date of original delivery (above) is included and the person who takes this one home will get the very same high level of customer service and attention here at Bob’s as if they were purchasing the most expensive new BMW in the showroom.
And as hinted at above, a generous percentage of the proceeds from this sale will in fact go to the PBTF and RFK® organization as has been Bob’s personal practice over the 25 plus years he’s been involved with this fine organization and their mission to eradicate pediatric brain tumors. Bob had previously been fortunate enough to win a Honda motorcycle in the past at a RFK® event and as the winner of record, Bob has to cover the tax liability before he gets to decide how much the PBTF gets and how much might go to enhance a new display in the Vintage BMW Museum.
By grabbing this one at a very competitive price (no freight or set-up fees) you’ll get a great value for yourself and help Bob and Bob’s help do some good in the world.
