We’re very well acquainted with the one and only owner of this majestic looking K1300S. He is one of our longest and most loyal customers, and a Collector/Enthusiast of the first order. He owns a FLEET of BMWs, many of which he bought new here at Bob’s — including this one. He rides them all faithfully, and services them all just as faithfully. In fact, all the scheduled maintenance on this motorcycle was done at Bob’s — on time if not early — and it was all done by our Shop Foreman who’s our longest tenured and most experienced Master Certified Technician. The bike has been garage kept, and we can declare with all certainty that when it wasn’t being ridden, it was being cleaned and polished meticulously. No speck of dust ever stood a chance!
Those who shop these pages frequently might already know that the K1300S is one of our preferred models among all the stellar bikes in the BMW K-Series lineup. It’s a Sport Tourer with heavy emphasis on SPORT (175 HP and gobs of torque!) and we think the balance of power and poise it offers to riders who want to go some distance at a highly accelerated pace is just about perfect. Plus, it’s just so darn good looking! The K1300S first appeared in 2008, superseding the K1200S, and at that time was BMW’s fastest ever production bike. Alas, they stopped making these a few years ago, the model having run its course in the unceasing evolution of BMW development. The K1300S now occupies a revered position in the BMW history books, and as there are now an increasing number of them coming to us as trade-ins, the buyers who prefer making purchases a few years behind that development curve are in the catbird seat. With LOTS of excellent examples to choose from (we have three in stock at Bob’s as of this writing!), K1300S enthusiasts can enjoy the many benefits of this second-round buyer’s market.

Its mechanical condition is impeccable. We knew that already because of our long relationship with this machine — and it had been in for its scheduled maintenance (a Bi-Annual service) just last May. Nevertheless, when the bike became ours to sell again, we gave it a thorough workout to evaluate every aspect of its safety and performance. We gave it fresh engine oil & filter plus a total brake fluid service. We installed a NEW Rear Tire (Michelin Pilot Road 4-GT to match the front one was recently installed and still in excellent condition), NEW Rear Brake Rotor and Pads, and we resealed the transmission cover as it was showing a tiny bit of oil seepage. Notably also, we re-installed the original exhaust system which had had very little usage because the previous owner had opted for an aftermarket exhaust early on in his time with this bike. Luckily he stored the original system well and now it’s still like new.
