At its core, the 2018 Fat Bob is all muscle and makes no apologies for it. It’s outfitted with the Milwaukee-Eight 114 that delivers more than 107 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheel. But the Fat Bob has more than just a lot of get-up-and-go, it also boasts agile handling and fairly generous lean angles thanks to its overall lighter weight, more rigid frame, improved upside-down forks and corresponding suspension upgrades. In 2018 when this model was first unveiled, one reviewer wrote that this bike was, “the best all-around performance cruiser Harley-Davidson ever made.” And the styling? Well, judge for yourself, but we think this bike’s contrasting black and white color scheme is stunning!

Mechanically, this motorcycle does exactly what it was meant to do. In other words, it can still flex its abundant muscle without hesitation. We know this because our Service Team went to great lengths to check and evaluate each of its components and systems, change the fluids and filters, and tweak all the tuning, handling, and controls to perfection. They also installed a pair of NEW TIRES, and finally, put all their work to the test with an extended ride. Of course, we did the Maryland Safety Inspection, which it passed, naturally, so you can ride this beauty home — safely, legally, proudly — without a single worry. 

Let’s discuss the cosmetics. The pictures don’t lie. This bike is in great condition! It was well cared for by it’s one and only previous owner in the first place, but then our in-house, pro moto-cosmetician got his hands on it, meticulously cleaned and detailed it, and brought it up to a whole new level of showroom-worthy gleam. You won’t be disappointed. Despite its near perfection, however, we must tell you the bike is not flawless. If you’ve looked at the photos carefully, you probably noticed a couple of “decorations” added that weren’t stock. There’s an H-D Skull badge on the left side of the gas tank and a larger skull patch of the same design at the trailing edge of the front fender. These were applied by the previous owner and, it turns out, they were added to cover some paint scratches. We don’t know how the scratches got there but it is clear that the bike was never abused or involved in an accident, so they must have come from a tip-over or some other kind of minor mishap. In our opinion, these little efforts at blemish masking don’t look so bad at all, but we wanted to be sure you knew what those skulls conceal. Outside of that, this motorcycle shows no signs of use or wear out of the ordinary. It is SPLENDID – right down to the special chrome switch covers. 

We’ll say it again. DON’T WAIT to come in and see this machine. Your window of opportunity may be a very small one. For the one who claims it first, though, a summer of smiles is about start.
