OUCH!!!!!!!! When Bob saw this one arrive he immediately wanted to steal come of the sweet extras for his own special K1200S. But Dennis, the Sales Manager told him “THAT IS NOT HAPPENING”. So they are still attached to this spotless machine. It has so few miles the next owner will really be doing the break-in and if we did not tell you it’s a used bike you’d think it was a new 2014. The Red and Black paint, Gray powder coated frame, forks, swingarm, wheels & final drive along with some very sweet Carbon Fiber extras makes for a stunning machine. These images just do not convey what it looks like in person. Especially in sunlight.
Sold new and serviced by Bob’s since delivered in September of 2011 it has again been escorted through the highly professional service department at Bob’s to meet the highest standards so that the next owner will have a turnkey purchase with nothing to do but enjoy it until the next scheduled service is due. And because of the high standards at Bob’s that new owner should only expect check their tire pressure and oil levels for the 2014 riding season. Everything is fully up to date and ready for a season of pure riding pleasure.
This originated in berlin, Germany in November of 2010 as an early 2011 model and was well equipped; standard options included BMW’s ESA II or Electronic Suspension, ASC which is the Auto Stability Control system, ABS (of course it included this), Gear Shift assist for some extra fun while devouring those great back roads, the On Board Computer to help you keep track of fuel economy (really?) and temperature as well as a few other useful bits of road use knowledge, heated grips for those chilly mornings or evenings at the end of a great day of riding and even TPM which for those who don’t know is BMW’s built in Tire Pressure Monitoring system which is wonderfully handy and a very smart option and a complete Stainless Exhaust system.
But the fun does not end there on this flawlessly beautiful machine which rates a 10 cosmetically from end to end and exactly the same mechanically and why not, it’s basically a new bike that just happens to be about 2 years old. In fact, BMW factory warranty is good through September 6 of this year. And while it’s a flawless beauty now it arrived with a small amount of tip over damage which was professional addressed by Bob’s and covered by the insurance company of the client who recently traded it in – that is after all what your insurance policy is for – to make you whole. That work is impossible to see and most of it was simply a matter of installing some genuine new BMW parts.
This machine is also equipped with some very nice Carbon Fiber as you can see in the images. The list includes a dash trim panel, a pair of tank panels (forward area and by your waist) and a beautiful and expensive (but worth every dollar) rear wheel hugger which is the goody that Bob really wanted. To make this bike truly ready for the next owner a complete Inspection I and a 6,000 mile annual service was just performed as well as installing a new set of Michelin Pilot Road tires with Nitrogen fill to help them run cooler and to maintain their pressure for longer periods of time – both of which will help you get the maximum performance and a little extra life from these tires. Aside from that we replaced a few bulbs and reinstalled a few reflectors the original owner had removed.
It’s been Maryland Inspected and passed the most detailed and stringent ADVANTAGE CERTIFIED Inspection and was then taken out for a spirited 22 mile test ride by one of our Shop Foreman and Master Tech. We knew all along that the bike really didn’t really need to go quite that far but it’s spring. As always it comes with two keys, the owner’s manual and the small factory tool set. Be aggressive; beat your friends to this one because it’s worth having to buy them a beer or two because they missed out.
