WINTER STORAGE
Customers are planning ahead this year...so ACT NOW if you want Bob’s expert service department to care for your bike over the winter months. Three month storage includes:

• Washed, wiped down, and lubricated (anything that moves!) prior to storage
  
• Pictures of front, rear, and both sides prior to storage
  
• Fuel stabilization
  
• Tire pressure checked regularly and maintained
  
• Battery checked regularly and charged
• Open recalls completed, if any
  

We wouldn't be offering this except that a bunch of you fair-weather weenies have been canceling appointments just because of a little rain. Our technicians, most of whom rode in the rain to get here, are starting to take it personally! And remember, everybody benefits when our busy service schedule keeps rolling smoothly, rain or shine.  

So think about it ... you only need to go to the trouble of putting on your rain suit to get 15 bucks off your service ticket! Not a bad deal, eh?

What is an "Express" oil change? Well, it's all about your convenience. It means that we'll make every effort to get your bike in and out as quickly as possible. BUT, it doesn't mean that the expert service and attention to detail that you're accustomed to at Bob's will be compromised in any way. We simply won't cut any corners—on your bike or any of the bikes in our care.

*EXCEPTIONS! Certain bikes require considerably longer time to perform an oil change and thus will incur higher labor charges. These include: All F650 models, R1100/1150GS models with metal "cage" type cylinder protection, 100RS/RTs with oil coolers, and any others with modifications or special equipment which may require dismantling or extra work-around time. Please contact the Service Desk for more details and pricing. Also, price is based on the use of normal Petroleum oil. Synthetic Oil, if you request it, does cost a little extra.

Maryland State Inspections (MSI)

Bob's BMW offers Maryland State Inspections (MSI) for all brands of motorcycles. We'll inspect any make...any model. And best of all...no appointment is necessary.

Bob’s can help you do it smarter, safer and with greater financial security!

Bob’s offers a complete and very through Pre-Purchase Inspection or PPI as we refer to it. Why would you pay us to do this for you? Because our Service team has more expertise and experience than you’ll find just about anywhere this side of the Mississippi River. When you have a bike inspected (usually done after you purchased it) to see if it will pass a state inspection it is only covering a minimum number of safety related items. In Virginia for example the state only requires good brake pads but by Maryland standard the brake discs could be well under safe specifications. We are pleased to do this for both private party transactions and those you might find at a dealer or independent shop for sale.

At Bob’s a full PPI involves the complete machine from safety standards to all other mechanical components and the cosmetics. As a result we can tell you a lot more about the bike you may be considering that you probably would have known. We can often give you history that the previous owner did not know themselves based on what we find and that helps you make an informed decision and protects your financial investment. For the record, every used bike offered at Bob’s (except project bikes) goes through the same MSI and PPI inspection process to insure that we also spend our money just as wisely and can offer only the best used motorcycles to our customers.

Dozens of times each year we get to look at a bike a customer just purchased (another dealer or privately) after the transaction has been completed; as a result they learn all this invaluable information too late to truly be of value. These people often end up spending hundreds and in many cases thousands of dollars they had not expected to spend to place the bike on the road just to pass inspection. At Bob’s our goal is that your bike will always be safe, roadworthy, comfortable and fun. You can rely on the fact that Bob’s is always looking out for your best interest and wants you to get the best value for the money you spend.
