In the winter of 2002 three 2003 R1100S Boxer Cup Replicas were pulled from BMW US priority inventory in New Jersey and delivered to the BMW North America Body Shop East on December 18th with instructions to paint them to match the Boxer Cup Team USA livery. The wheels were also painted and the turn signal lenses were converted to clear lenses with amber bulbs. Like other Prep bikes these bikes also featured the belly pan, low bars and screen along with carbon fiber front fender and valve covers. All this custom work cost a documented $5,326.50 per bike. Two of the bikes did rough duty on the IMS Show circuit and have the scars to prove it. These two bikes also accumulated significant mileage. The third bike, #ZB52671, sat in an un-named executive's office in Woodcliff Lake NJ and spent a little time in their famous lobby along side race cars and new models and accumulated a mere 80 miles. This bike, #ZB52671, started life as a Titan Silver Boxer Cup Replica with options 509 (boosted power supply), 547 (Sport suspension), and 779 (5.5" rear wheel) and was the Woodcliff Lake bike. Bob acquired this bike directly from BMW along with another R1100S (the "JPM" bike in Williams BMW Team livery) in the summer of 2005. After much deliberation, and 307 miles he personally put on it, he decided to sell this bike this year. On September 11th 2005 Bob took it to the Nostalgia Run in Thurmont to shake it down and show it off which accounts for the majority of the 307 miles he added. This unusual piece of BMW history is now avaialble for sale at Bob's. It's low mileage permits putting some miles on it while retaining it's original and rare condition.
