1991 K100RS
STOCK #: 493125 COLOR: Classic Black Metallic MILEAGE: 39,874 ACCESSORIES & OPTIONS: Lowered seat with BMW lock parts and a Corbin seat, Bob’s wrist rest, 4-way flashers, fuel and temperature gauges, Aftermarket rear shock with remote reservoir, stainless steel brake lines all around, Haynes repair manual, Hepco & Becker luggage rack and bag mounts with full size saddlebags, owners manual, partial tool kit and spare bulb set and a Luftmeister complete exhaust with slip on muffler. Partial (painted part) Parrabellem tall windscreen and BMW K75C handlebars that offer a little rise.
COSMETIC CONDITION: Good but there are some assorted scratches on the gas tank and fairing. There is a very small crack in the fairing that’s almost hidden by the right mirror and a few more on the same side lower panel. There is some hardware that shows surface rust but it’s probably less than $25 worth of nuts, bolts and drain plugs. The seat is a two tone grey and black and in decent shape.
STOCK #: 370395 COLOR: Black (not original) MILEAGE: 14,757 (claimed original but can’t confirm) ACCESSORIES & OPTIONS: It sports a rare German Police gas tank, BUB mufflers, stainless steel brake lines and Koni shocks. Cylinder guards and BMW saddlebag mounts are included but not installed. COSMETIC CONDITION: better than average with some assorted flecks and less than perfect prep paint blems throughout, a small tear in the side of the seat and just a few bits of hardware or some alloy pieces that show exposure the largest part needing to be replaced is the gas cap that is simply broken. The gauges appear finer and all signals, lights and horn operate as well as the odometer reset. Fork seals look great as do both discs and it even has stainless brake lines.
Stock Number: 310385 Color: Red Mileage: 42,829 Accessories & Options: ABS, 4-way flasher, spare cables, tool kit w/tire repair kit (inside), spare bulb, helmet lock, wrist rest, tinted Aeroflow windscreen, fender extension and BMW saddlebags Cosmetic Condition: underneath all the filth of sitting for 6 years there lies a very clean original paint job. We gave it a very light bath just to confirm we were right. No dings, dents or scratches to note except a small impression from a tip over on the right valve cover and a missing rear right signal lens (not related). There’s a very few small spots of rust where it looks like the passengers boots rubbed paint off the frame

Stock Number: 041333 Color: Silver
Mileage: 33,951 Accessories & Options: BMW saddlebag mounts, the stock tool kit a Progressive rear shock and bar backs. There is a switch for heated grips but we did not test them out; they may or may not work.
Cosmetic Condition: For the age it’s very good, there are assorted scratches and a very small hairline sub surface crack near the right mirror on the fairing upper. Both side covers look like they were either repainted or replaced. The dual seat was recovered in an excellent very slightly textured vinyl that’s not exactly like OEM but certainly much nicer. The wheels are exceptionally clean and so is the exhaust including the muffler. Even the clear portion of the fairing (screen) has not turned yellow as so many did. Mechanical Condition: battery is almost gone, but when we keep it on a charger it starts right up. There are assorted small leaks showing, mostly due to lack of much use in recent years including rear main, fork seals and the rear master cylinder because it’s the old style reservoir that should be replaced. All three discs are right at spec which means they should really be replaced unless you live in a state like Virginia that only requires god pads. On the one test ride we gave it the technician felt the clutch was showing some signs of slippage, probably due to the small main seal leak. Tires are old but have some life left if you are a cheap skate. All switches and gauges look good as does most rubber. Notes: In many ways this is a clean stock example of BMW’s first year K100RS right down to the paint which while not perfect appear to be mostly original still. It appears to have been a 25 year weekend rider because the bag mounts barely look like bags were ever attached and they did not come into us if the owner even had a set. Even the foot peg mounting sets are the early versions. On the other hand it needs some attention but nothing that could not be accomplished in just one weekend by a fair home mechanic and the needed parts. Some at the dealership think Bob should restore it and put it in the museum while others think someone else should have that chance. It’s the nicest 1985 K100RS we’ve seen in at least ten years. Offered at: $2,495

1997 R1100RT
Stock Number: C63356 Color: Blue Mileage: 86,477 original Accessories & Options: ABS, heated grips, 4-way flasher, electric windscreen, BMW comfort seat (from R1150RT), luggage rack, bag mounts,
Dual accessory sockets, flip-a-lever cruise control , rear runnin’ lights and BMW saddlebags. Cosmetic Condition: excellent paint, seats, wheels, hardware, and most all rubber. Left side riders peg is bag. There’s one medium small nick on left mirror and one on left lower. This bike should shine up very well. Mechanical Condition: All brake discs pass MD at this time but they are all very close to minimum spec. Tires are very good, fluids could use freshening all around, throttle is a little rough and probably needs cables, the techs stated on the inspection that they feel it may been in need of swingarm pivot bearings which is not unusual after this many miles. It starts, runs, shifts and stops just fine, ABS worked on 03-17-2009 when Bob did the write up and photos. It has a new battery installed by Bob’s. Notes: It has not been ridden much in the last 6 months and could use a good Italian tune and possibly throttle body sync but after some fresh fluids and a through detailing this bike should be a great ride for quite a while and for the smart person that replaces all the discs and pads now they probably won’t have to spend much money down the road. Offered at: $4,195

1995 R1100R
Stock Number: 379137 Color: Metallic Red (faded) Mileage: 88,365 (one owner) Accessories & Options: ABS, BMW Tachometer & Clock in L/R pods, Battery Voltage Indicator, Heated Grips, 4-Way flasher, wrist rest, GIVI luggage rack w/left bag carrier, Extra rear running & brake lights of unknown mfg, white LED’s (DNF), FOX front shock, side stand pad, 2 spare keys plus the one with the black knob are included. Cosmetic Condition: This stock paint has badly faded so don’t let the good photos fool you, there is rust on lots of hardware, scratches in the paint and a few spots where it’s been touched up and is primed, passenger seat has a small (a quarter would cover it) hole in it, there is some yellowing on the transmission case, probably from an old fuel leak and we are sure it was not washed in quite some time. There are no dents or dings in tank or wheels and it’s really more about exposure to elements than anything else. Mechanical Condition: This bike was ridden into us to purchase, twice actually and it starts, runs, shifts and stops fine. The clutch still feels strong, the front brake feels a bit soft and that’s probably because it’ needs to be bled, all the gauges and switches work and the euro light switch is a nice extra. There are some assorted loose wires that look like they were cut because they were; the prior owner removed some lights and did it fast. No factory wires were involved to our observations. The rear disc is well below specs and should be replaced, the fronts still look serviceable. The rear tire needs replacing but the front is in very good condition. Notes: We can not unlock the seat so we don’t know if the tool kit is underneath; for all we know there’s $20,000 in cash tucked away. We do have the original manuals where you can see the original owner kept meticulous records for about two years, filled up the pages and if there are more details someplace we didn’t get them. While the cosmetics might be not beautiful the bike has a solid driveline and would be worth spending some time on to address the few needs it has. Offered at: $2,195

1983 BMW R80ST
OK
all you project bike enthusiasts, we know we ask you to look
through the dirt and dull surfaces we haven't cleaned to see
the shine that you yourself will add after completing any of
our projects but this photo (taken by Bob) was just too irritable
to pass up. Taken the day it arrived when it was snowing and
the shop was closed. It then sat inside for quite a while until
the seller decided what they were going to replace it with.
We now have the title and he another BMW to enjoy.
So what's under that snow?
A relatively unmolested but truly neglected 1983 BMW R80ST.
The R80ST is a bit of a rare beast as only 5963 were produced
worldwide in 1982, 83 and 84. It has about 65,000 miles according
to the seller who claimed to be the 2nd or 3rd owner having
acquired it some years back. The engine turns over and the carbs
are dry but there is residue in the float bowls. He states that
it was running around the time the tag expired in 2005. The
odometer shows 7900 miles but this is a replacement unit. There
is NO IGNITION SWITCH or key (we may find a key to fit). The
tires are crappy but the wheels, rims and spokes look like they
should shine up very well as there's no visible rust, dings
or scratches. There is fresh fuel and only one tiny ding in
the tank FWIW and the gas cap is clean. The front disc looks
like you'll be putting a new one on before taking it on the
road but the master cylinder feels strong and the fluid is not
too dirty. There is no evidence of crash or accident damage
other than a few minor scratches on one valve cover. There is
rust. It's on a lot of hardware, around the axles, the fork
caps and even on the upper sections of the tubes. There's some
on the carb tops and a little on the rear shock. The exhaust
collector (under the trans) shows the usual surface rust but
the muffler looks great. You'll have to decide if this becomes
a bright and shiny R80ST when you're done or just a solid rider
with some cosmetic issues you've acquired.
Now for a bunch of just positive stuff: Included are the original
BMW tool kit, tool tray and tire pump plus a factory parts catalog
that sells for about $90 and is NLA; a handy reference. The
factory 2 piece cylinder guards are attached and have the optional
BMW side stand too. There is a very decent set of BMW touring
cases (small left & large right) that are included (were
not outside when parked) as are the factory bag mounts and luggage
rack which do have some rust. One lock on the left bag is failing
but as a further bonus the left and right painted side covers
with original decals and the black muffler cover all were removed
before the exposure damage occurred and they are in really good
condition. It's the civilized and paved road version of the
R80GS!
Is this one for you? Can you visualize the value from the description
and the lonely snow covered image that is literally hiding most
of what you want to see? Are you up to the task? You could stay
tuned for more photos taken on the next sunny day or you could
contact Bob immediately to just tell him that you've got $1795
burning a hole in your wallet and want to claim it before someone
else does.

1993 K75S
Stock Number: 154146 Mileage: 12,252 documented original miles Color: Classic Black metallic w/Light Blue gas tank (original rusted through) Accessories & Options: BMW saddlebag mounts, ABS, tool kit, corbin seat , BMW 3-spoke cash mag wheels Cosmetic Condition: good to very good (shame about the non-matching tank) with a few minor scratches and nicks (see images) on fairing, seat cowl and right side of belly pan and crank cover. Seat has cracked in two places and that’s not unusual for a corbin of this age regardless of mileage or use. There is a repaired crack on the inner fairing panel below instruments that still needs to be painted. Rear muffler guard is missing most bolts. Mechanical Condition: Not ridden since tank was swapped out but filters, etc. inside tank are fresh. Bike was serviced at Bob’s at 9400 miles and was running fine at that time. There was a fault in the system on the ABS that could have been generated by lack of use as it was sitting for about 1 year before it came to us. As the Control unit was also not working we threw in a used one, fired it up but did not test further. That working used unit is still in the bike. Tires and wheels were swapped with another used K75S to improve that machine as rubber was almost new. These tires need to be replaced. Notes: This bike has some risks since we have not started or ridden it since then. The tank is dry at this time but have tried to report everything we know accurately. A fresh set of tires, new fluids and a tank of gas will hopefully produce a running bike with low original mileage; you’d have to decide it you can live with the mis-matched paint on the gas tank. We hope, but again don’t know for sure if all the other electrics are still fine including the ABS modulator. Offered at: $2495
SOLD!
1977 R100/7
Stock Number: 141065 Color: Silver (this is a repaint) Mileage: 6,794 on odometer Accessories & Options: New Corbin dual Canyon seat with Reynolds backrest, Slipstreamer windscreen, Rack factory aluminum luggage rack (covered in black bed liner for better all weather finish), full coverage fork boots, Dual Fiam horns, Koni adjustable rear shocks, center stand w/o tang and the exhaust system (stainless steel header pipes) and side stand are included but in separate photos. That exhaust will fit every 1970 through 1984 BMW engine except the R65 even though the 1981-84 had a dual cross over pipe it works either way just fine and for that matter it should fit all 1985 to 1995 engines if installed in this chassis and yes we might sell it separately of the bike; before or following. Cosmetic Condition: very good except for paint at rear top of gas tank, a very few scratches on the frame paint and a small scrape on the headlight trim ring, the grips are mis-matched. Wheels are very clean. Mechanical Condition: It does not start, run or shift because there’s no engine, transmission, carbs, electrical system or battery! The brakes however work great at both ends and the tires ( Metzeler Lasertec’s ) are almost brand new. Switches all worked before we stole the driveline for another clients conversion project. The final drive is a 33/11 or 3.0. Wheels and spokes are straight and above average cosmetically. Notes: Yes, we really did take a perfectly good running bike (a former project bike we took back in trade) and removed the entire front driveline so we could make another customer happy. BTW, his conversion is almost done. So if you have a spare engine, trans, carbs and electrics sitting around doing nothing you could have yourself a very cost effective Beemer on the road shortly. Every air head engine & transmission produced by BMW from 1970 through 1995 could be installed so the possibilities are very big and even if you don’t own one R60 & R75 series are almost being given away in flea markets and on the internet. It comes with a clear title. Offered at: $ 1,995
1986 K100RT
Stock Number: 053909 Color: Blue Mileage: 67,330 original miles Accessories & Options: BMW saddlebag mounts, Reynolds luggage rack, nicely recovered seat (possibly by Sargent or Corbin), BMW optional Fuel & temperature gauges in individual mounting pods. Euro windscreen with wings. Cosmetic Condition: average with some scratches and small cracks in fiberglass (see photos) and the ones by the top right mirror on the fairing and the same side lower appear to be from a parking lot fall over. The wheels look good and straight, there’s some light rust on a lot of hardware. Mechanical Condition: This bike came in for a fuel filter, starter relay and some small items. Following the bike starting up and running fine we discovered the fuel tank was leaking. Customer informed us that had happened before and he had “fixed the leak”. He declined further work and never picked it up. The battery has been on charge all this time and we drained the gas tank for safety reasons. It cranks fine and if you were to have the tank professionally repaired or find a used one and transfer all the internals it should still be a decent machine. We have never road tested it. The gear indication and the button on the starter switch are in poor shape. The Michelin tires are not fresh but they do have plenty of tread on them.
Notes: This is probably a real gem in the rough worth fixing/replacing the tank on, changing all the fluids and then installing a fresh set of tires. The front discs look good and the rear looks thin (we have not measured them) and most rubber looks OK. Most early K100’s will go for several hundred thousand miles before any major work is required. Offered at: We think it’s a steal at $1795

1980 R100RT
Stock Number: 196158 Mileage: 61,258 (52,876 on original speedometer) Color: Red Smoke w/gold pinstripes Accessories & Options: BMW saddle bag mounts & saddlebags, Reynolds rear rack & backrest, aftermarket rear shocks, bmw tool kit & tray, snowflake magnesium wheels, bmw oil cooler, Boyer ignition, National Cycle tall screen Cosmetic Condition: This is typical of the red smoke paint that was exposed to UV and it has faded all over, there are also plenty of small road debris chips in the lowers, but it does not have exposure damage on hardware and all other parts. One lower is cracked below the valve cover, there is no evidence that the bike was dropped or crashed, seat is good as are the bags. The gas tank is in better condition that all else and there are no dents. Mechanical Condition: Starts, runs, shifts, stops and idles fine but could probably use a carb adjustment and has been not ridden much in the last year, taken off the road last summer. Wheels and brake discs look good, tires serviceable, rubber & hardware looks good, there’s a minor weep at pushrod seals and oil pan gasket but has not actually dripped oil where it’s sat for last 30 days, if not longer. Missing that stupid tang on centerstand. Notes: It fired right up when I wrote this review on 03-14-09 and with a little TLC, a new set of tires and fresh fluids one could probably ride this bike for ever and where ever you wanted. A repaint can always be done. Offered at: $3,795
1992 K75
Stock Number: 134250 Mileage: 46,586 Color: original classic black metallic Accessories & Options: bmw saddlebag mounts, accessory socket, low seat, tool kit, several keys and a nice KONI rear shock Cosmetic: overall very good but has bad paint on front half of front fender, two small dents in gas tank (see photos), small scrape on left lever, speedo housing, muffler guard and left case cover and left seat handle (see photos), missing K75 emblem on rear of seat cowling, most hardware is clean but there is some minor rust here and there, wheels look clean & straight
mechanical condition: starts & runs fine but this bike has not been ridden
notes: probable clutch issue (goes into gear but really does not go forward) missing trip reset knob, has some pitting on fork tubes, high beam switch & indicator stuck on, all other switches work fine, very fresh Metzeler Laser front & a good Bridgestone Battleax rear tire, some rubber is good, other is in need of freshening, discs look OK but have not been measured for wear Offered at: $1495

mechanical condition: starts, runs, shifts and brakes excellent
notes: fork seals leak, front master cylinder leaks, disc slightly below specs, push rod seals leak slightly, throttle cables stiff, almost new Avon road rider tires, numerous fresh rubber parts, fluids all look fairly clean, all switches work fine, this bike could be made state inspectable over a weekend and provide a few hundred thousand miles of fun. 1964 R60/2 # 625721 w/title plus extra frame # 641211 & extra motor # 625633 and almost enough parts to build a second bike.
Perhaps Our Most Interesting Project Bike Listing Ever: A TRUE FLEA MARKET FIND
This really is a pile of parts with unlimited potential and identifiable layers of dirt we are offering for sale. No claims of any kind are made on this stuff other than what you read here. However, as Bob got his start in the used parts business back in 1981 he could not resist being able to pass on a truckload exactly the way it arrived here. Who knows what you could build or restore from these original BMW pieces from the 1960s?
There is one complete rolling chassis with fenders, forks, suspension, wheels, final drive, shaft and swingarm, headlight, handlebars, seats and more plus a second main frame with forks. There are three titles, two engines and at least one complete gearbox. All totaled, there is at least one standard gas tank, a spare rear fender, several Denfeld luggage racks, two headlights, two more wheels, another rear swingarm with driveshaft and a final drive unit. There are two 5 gallon buckets with parts like carburetors, electrics, air tubes, switches, shocks, air cleaners and possibly controls. For certain there is a bunch more parts on the freight dolly in the photograph.
Those of you with good flea market vision will notice there is a very rare Hella valenced headlight trim ring on the rolling chassis as well as a hard to find original side stand on the extra frame. You can easily see that two center stands are included. There’s also a yet to be identified rear pillion seat. Both Earles Fork assemblies have the shocks and there is one BMW USA style handlebar with all the controls still attached. Even Bob himself has not fully rooted through the assorted spares so it is possible you could discover something he doesn’t even know is there!
Bob thinks this pile of 1.85 BMWs should be worth about $3,000. However, others on the staff think it’s too cheap at that price, and one or two believe it should sell for less!
Your firm offer will decide, so call or email Bob yourself and get started this winter!

BMW R75/5
Stock #972122
We just don't get /5 series machines often enough to come close
to meeting the demand and while this one is not perfect it has lots
of potential. This 1970 R75/5 came to us without much history so
we worked overtime to provide the following details. It is
straight, the numbers are all correct and the Maryland title is
clear. From what we can tell the odometer appears accurate; if so
it has about 73,700 original miles and is ever so common the
tachometer has spun its needle and needs to be rebuilt.
The paint on every surface appears original as well. The seat is
original and in decent shape all over including the pan, trim and
handles. It has original BMW mufflers that appear to be
a recent upgrade and look perfect. The center stand is
missing but it has a nice Brown side stand. No tools, books
or keys aside from the black knob in the ignition but it has the
original tool tray and a spare used starter-signal switch with harness.
The signals are missing the side reflectors that would have come
with a 1970. It has the correct tail light with center reflector.
Everything inside the headlight looks clean. The valve covers also
appear to be brand new BMW.
As is common the kick starter mechanism is a bit sticky so there
is probably some gear wear on the segment gear, but it still works
as does the electric start. The rims and spokes are fairly clean
but the rear wheel does have a small flat spot. The headlight
has a very small abrasion underneath and along a 1.5 inch area adjacent
to the chrome trim ring but it all fits together cleanly; the ring
appears to be fresh. The bike starts up and runs but has about 30%
leak down so a new owner may want to do a ring replacement
and cylinder hone or perform a valve lap-in to tighten up for
full power. The transmission goes through all the gears on the
road but does have a noise that is probably bearing related.
The state of tune is fair but we’re sure that a full tune
up and carb rebuild will make it run better. The BMW rear shocks
are original; one adjustor is broken but they’re not visually
leaking. The fork springs are not collapsed but we don't know
how old they are. The BMW 2-piece cylinder guards are originally
for a /6-/7 series but fit and work on all 1970-84 machines. It
has a clean pair of black handlebar mirrors. Tires are serviceable
but older. Brakes work fine on both ends. The inside of the
large, very desirable 6.3 gallon tank is clean, the cap is undamaged
but there are two small dents along the top right edge about silver
dollar size; original tank medallions are in perfect shape!
One could address the mechanical issues and never touch the cosmetic
and enjoy a fun, fair looking R75/5 for many years or go to the
next step and repaint it over the winter to have a real show piece
on top of a healthy ride it anywhere BMW classic.

BMW K75RT – SOLD!
Metallic Red
Stock #
6229628
Wow, is there a lot of potential here on this project bike! While it does need some work it is also loaded with value so pay attention to the list of needs and decide if you are the kind of do-it-yourselfer that can take it on and have some serious return for your sweat equity.
This machine has only 17,505 original miles and the paint is in fairly good shape overall but has some nicks and dings—especially on the mirrors and the upper right side of the fairing; none prevent one from riding the bike anywhere. There are also signs the battery once leaked on the right side of the gearbox case. We do not see any indication the bike was ever wrecked, so the minor nicks and dings all are a result of a driveway related tip over. We have identified some small leaks on the forks, rear brake master cylinder, oil pump (very common), and by the final drive. Many of these issues may simply be related to the fact that the last owner just did not ride it very much in the ten years he owned it—only 10,000 miles to be exact.
It starts right up and runs and rides OK. The rear shocks may not pass inspection due to a very slight residue of oil. Some exercise may make this cease similar to the forks, but we would suggest working this into your plan of attack as both may be real honest-to-gosh seal leaks. Because of the rear master cylinder condition (poor and leaking) and that it appears it has original front brake pads that need to be replaced it did not pass the Maryland State Inspection road test; but it does shift and all that just fine.
On the positive side it came to us with the Factory BMW Tool Kit, BMW Owner’s Manual, Haynes Repair Manual, lots of keys, an oil filter wrench and a new BMW Air Filter to get you started on the service needs. The bike has fair tires but a very nice aftermarket Windscreen with Adjustable Air Vent, Side-Mounted Air Wings, BMW Comfort Seat, BMW Cylinder Guards, Dual Optional BMW Gauges, ABS Brakes, the BMW 22 Liter Trunk and the latest version of the BMW Integral Saddle Bags that use full size keys. It has BMW Heated Grips that appear to work fine and Original BMW 4-Way Flashers that don’t, at least right now. The luggage alone is worth $1,000 but we bought it right and so can you so don’t wait too long to call or stop by and see this one!
Offered at a very reasonable $ 3,395–SOLD!!
1982
BMW R65 RT - SOLD!
Blue
Stock #6386462
Now here’s a bike you’ve never seen before and while we don’t know when the complete BMW RT fairing package was installed it does appear to be an original BMW paint and pinstripe job with factory RT decal. It may have been a European edition but the gauges are US so even we are not 100% sure of the machines history. A clean title of course.
Regardless, there is plenty of value here and a potentially good ride. Heck it could even be a parts bike to turn your standard 1974 to 1995 BMW into a full blown RT model. The odometer shows 52, 595 miles and we suspect it’s accurate and original. No tool kit or owners manual are included but is has two ignition keys.
What we do know is this: there are minor cosmetic issues everywhere except on the fairing, which for the most part is fairly clean and complete with a serviceable screen and mirrors. It has a Reynolds backrest attached to a stock BMW luggage rack and BMW saddlebag mounts but no bags are included. The wheels look fine and the front brake disc looks like a new aftermarket installation but the tires are no good. It has a bunch of assorted oil leaks but it does start up and ran, or at least when it arrived.
We don’t know the age of the battery but it’s remained on a trickle charger since it arrived. The gearbox is making some noise but it does run and shift through the gears—we suspect the bearings. Again on the bright side the exhaust system looks to be in very good condition and while the gas tank is not paint matched it is clean inside and out. Mostly we see a bike that fell on hard times and did not see much loving care the last few years of it’s prior life---so it’s now your turn to care for it.
Beyond all that we don’t have anymore history to share. Like we said there’s a lot one could do no matter what direction that you go in and a complete RT fairing set is worth a few thousand bucks all by itself, so we’ve price this one accordingly. Don’t wait too long as Bob said this one gets rolled out for our Annual Flea market on Saturday April 5, 2008.
