BOB’S BMW IS OFFERING AN INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY TO OWN A GREAT USED BMW AND DO SOME SERIOUS GOOD IN THIS WORLD!

1990 BMW K75RT
stock number 199461

While not cosmetically perfect it was a very nice machine with original paint and only a few small cosmetic flaws. Mechanically it was quite sound but the machine was due for some maintenance and service to be as Bob calls it “Safe, Roadworthy, Comfortable and FUN” and Bob was very up front with the owner (he always is) that as nice as it was it may only be a $4000 to $5000 bike in the current market once all the services were brought up to date and so spending $2000 to $2500 on those services did not leave much room for a charitable contribution not to mention Bob would have a lot of his own money tied up in the hopes of netting the difference for the PBTF and Ride for Kids ®.

So as Bob has done before he suggested that he could still take it in but would offer it up as one of their “Project Bikes” with all the proceeds still going to the PBTF; it would just generate a smaller donation. He even showed the owner a well worn 1985 K100RS with about 250,000 miles (less on the newer engine, transmission and final drive) that had been donated for such a charitable transaction. That bike is still here and available by the way just in case you’d like a great project this winter.

That’s when Bob got the best surprise he’s had in a long while. The owner suggested that Bob create an estimate of the work he felt should be done to sell the bike under his Safe and Roadworthy mantra and he would consider covering some of those costs. So Bob asked his service staff to thoroughly review and inspect the bike and hand him that estimate. A few days later Bob presented that estimate to the same gentleman who had now turned the bike, keys and title over to Bob.

ALL PROCEEDS FROM THIS SALE OF THE MOTORCYCLE WILL BE HANDED OVER TO THE PEDIATRIC BRAIN TUMOR FOUNDATION!

That’s when Bob got his next best surprise because the previous owner told Bob “I’ll cover that entire bill so you’ll have a fully serviced, ready to go, very nice used 1990 K75RT to offer that will generate a larger donation for the Ride for Kids program”.

Well you can imagine the look on Bob’s face right about then. Needless to say he thanked this very generous individual several times, introduced him to service advisor Darryl Carmichael and then got down to business. Bob handed the estimate back to his service team and instructed them to do everything on the estimate and to give the invoice to Mr. Tim Smith (his real name and not the same guy that works at Bob’s) when it was completed.

True to his word Mr. Smith covered the entire bill a few days later. It came to $2,152.49 and covered the following work: two new Metzeler tires, a new rear brake disc and pads, a new front master cylinder, a complete inspection 1 with annual service which includes a tune up, fluid changes, filters & plugs and a few rubber parts, a brand new Odyssey battery and a complete wash and detailing. Once all that was done Bob decided that the original stock windscreen was showing its age so he had a new one installed and then found a barely used Clymer service manual to toss in as well.

As you can see in the many clear images the bike has the stock dark blue metallic paint and the stock dual gray seat. It also has a very clean BMW Multivario tank bag with the expandable section and rain cover. It is equipped with heated grips and 4 way flashers and comes with the original manuals, tire repair kit, stock tool kit and spare keys. The BMW saddle bags are included and have been key matched to the ignition, fork & seat locks and as you just read it’s fully serviced and has passed the Maryland inspection. This machine is certainly nicer than the average used K75RT and with only 39,000 original miles has most of its life and your enjoyment ahead still.

So now it’s ready to go to a new home and generate a sizeable donation to an exemplary non-profit; one that consistently receives 4-star ratings (the top spot) from Charity Navigator. Your job is to help Bob find the next home and owner or to step forward and let him know that you’re that person. He would very much like this to happen in the next 30 days so that he can turn in these funds and all the other money he’s raised this year at the 2010 Baltimore-Washington Ride for Kids ® event on Sunday, September 26.

Please call Bob directly at 301-497-8949 x218 or email him at bob@bobsbmw.com with any questions or your offer. He did ask when this was being written that you understand that not only is this a great motorcycle but you’ll be helping to do something really good so please don’t make him an offer he’d be foolish to accept --- in the same manner that the prior owner stepped up to the plate and paid for the service he’s looking for someone that gets what’s taking place and that they’ll be getting a turnkey $5,000 used BMW motorcycle in the process regardless of it they pay more or less than that amount for it.

So who out there is looking for a great used BMW and wants to do something really good?
