Saturday, July 12th, 9 AM to 4 PM
We see it everyday: more and more women entering the world of motorcycling. So, in celebration, in appreciation, and especially to encourage this growing movement, we at Bob’s BMW dedicate this special Show ‘n’ Shine Saturday.

So, gals… tell your friends, spread the news. Women of all ages are discovering the fun, not to mention the considerable advantages of riding a motorcycle. We’ve planned a day that will inform, entertain, and inspire you. Whether you’re a veteran of many years of riding, relatively new to the sport, or just thinking about getting started, you’ll find something of interest.

Our very special guest for the day is Jessica Prokup, Director of Emerging Market Communications at Discover Today's Motorcycling. Jessica combines her talents as a writer (former editor of RoadBike Magazine) with her extensive riding experience and motorcycle industry connections to focus on expanding outreach to women.

Jessica’s presentation is called "Celebrating Women Riders," and will be given twice, at 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Learn from her about the history of women in motorcycling, what kind of products and services the industry now offers to women, and how the existing community of women riders can support new riders. Jessica will draw upon her experience as a certified MSF instructor to discuss ways of encouraging more women to get involved through mentoring and skills training. Jessica is a vibrant personality and a leading light in this field. Don’t miss her presentation!

Nancy Oswald will give her demonstration on flat tire repair at 10:00 AM and 12 Noon. Nancy is one rider who can go the distance — and the longer that distance the better. She started riding only about eight years ago yet has already logged about 150,000 miles! Nancy discovered early in her riding experience that what appealed to her most about motorcycling was long distance and endurance riding, especially when there was an element of competition involved. She’ll freely admit that she’s pretty much hooked on it.

Well, Nancy learned the hard way that having the ability to repair a flat tire by the side of the road in adverse conditions can be crucial to a successful ride. Using the “Stop-n-Go” tire plugging system, she’ll demonstrate just how easy it is to resolve an annoying situation on your own rather than ending up as a “damsel in distress” by the roadside. This is one presentation every woman rider should see!

The Motor Maids will be here to inform you about their national organization which is the oldest women’s motorcycle group in the country. Learn about the fun they have together and what they’re doing individually and as a group to improve riding skills and strengthen the community of female riders.

Products for You. Back when motorcycling was considered a man’s activity only, it wasn’t always easy for ladies to find gear that fit and functioned properly. Thankfully that has all changed. In fact, the choices women have for motorcycle apparel these days are astounding and still improving. So come and meet the pros. Factory reps from some of the leading manufacturers will be here to show you the latest, answer your questions, and help get you fitted in style, comfort, and safety.

We’ll be unveiling a new T-shirt design just for women. We think it’s pretty cool and we’re confident you’ll think so too. Don’t worry; there will be an irresistible Women’s One-Day-Only offer on it. Stay tuned for more details.
