Lately a fair number of our customers, new ones as well as loyal "regulars," have asked us if we would honor a competitor's coupon. The short answer is, naturally, YES! We're very glad (and humbly surprised) that so many of you prefer to shop at Bob's, even if it means using coupons from other dealers!

YOU can join this revolution too. If you've received a mailing with an offer or coupon from another bike shop, BMW or any other brand, just bring it into Bob's. No reason to be embarrassed. Until we actually see your coupon, of course, we can't say exactly how we'll handle your situation. But we can tell you that with every coupon presented to us so far—whether for parts, accessories, or riders gear— Bob's has been able to deliver the goods—and the good deals!

Got friends who ride other brands? Tell 'em they're not stuck having to shop at their same old dealership. No one ever said you have to ride a BMW to partake of the great Bob's Experience. Got two wheels? Then you're welcome here! We have an enormous inventory of apparel, helmets, boots, tankbags, and countless other gadgets and goodies that ALL riders can use and enjoy. Remember, even if the item you want is not on hand, special orders are never a problem, and we can get almost anything. So, grab those coupons and come visit Bob's

What a day at the 2005 Bob's BMW Open House!

Once again we had a great turnout for our annual Open House despite the gloomy weather forecast.  The Weather Gods treated us to mostly cloudy skies and light intermittent rain.  Far better than predicted and none of which kept the serious customers and fun seeking BMW enthusiasts away; if anything it kept people here all day.  Close to 400 people attended this event and they sure arrived hungry as they managed to eat practically all the food (we plan for 500 plus) that the Blue Knights cooked up throughout the day; and while it got close around 3:30 to 4:00 they never ran out. (story continues below)

Here's a scrapbook of photos to give you the flavor of our event. Click on image below to enlarge.

Almost 300 people took the time to register for almost 50 great door prizes that we had, and only a few people were not here to take them home.  They’ll be notified this week of course.  A big THANKS goes to BMWNA,  Revit, Olympia, First Gear, Nolan, Had, Marsee, Proformance, OGIO, Vanson, Lee Parks, Bob’s (of course we donate stuff at our own event) and a few other smaller vendors as we had some really great door prizes to give out that were valued at well over $2000!

We also sold nine bikes during the event—a new record around here.  Six new BMW’s found homes in addition to three really nice used machines acquiring new owners. One of our clients flew in from New York in the morning, stayed the entire day at the event and spent a night (on us) down the street before joining Bob for breakfast Sunday morning and riding off on his new BMW K1200S.  Bob had broken it in the week before and the service department had completed the necessary service as well.  All part of the extra mile we go for our loyal customers.

Almost $30,000 worth of accessories, parts and riders apparel was sold to enthusiastic customers looking to either take advantage of the fantastic selection of new offerings in the recently expanded apparel showroom or to grab a few of the amazing deals on closeout merchandise that included a little of everything.  Watch our ever changing website for a few remaining closeout deals once we get it all sorted out.

And WOW was the service department busy.  There were about six people waiting for us when we arrived at 7:30 am and they kept coming throughout the day. The service team performed dozens of oil changes, tire changes, annual services and several 12 and 18K services along with numerous accessory installations.  They even managed to squeeze in a few uncrate and set-up jobs (PDI) on new bikes that go out this coming week.  No one got turned away and the technicians kept the work flowing until well after the usual closing hour.

And last a brief report on the benefit auction to support the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, host and organizer of the Ride for Kids events.  We had 40 individual items to auction off--- most donated by several of the same companies generous enough to give us door prizes as well as several items from Bob’s own closest including some very collectible BMW baseball caps and a really cool BMW V12 LMR remote control scale model that he had not played with in a while.  All told the auction brought in just over $2400!

For those that joined us, THANKS for being here and making it fun for us.  For those that missed it, we hope you’ll join us this fall at our annual Oktoberfest on October 15, 2005 (the only chance you get each year to see Bob in Lederhosen) or perhaps next year at our Open House which has been scheduled for the last Saturday of April (this is a constant) on April 29, 2006.

Everyday at Bob's is a special experience, but our big events are not to be missed!
Mark these dates in your calendar:

  • Oktoberfest '04 is October 15, 2005
  • Spring Open House next year is April 29, 2006
