To keep the rides fun and manageable, each Workshop is limited to FIVE riders. We strongly recommend that you contact Jim in advance to reserve your place in the Workshop. Course of Action
• The first subgroup, covered on Saturday, is Learning to Discover Invisible Roads. The primary idea of Invisible Roads is to use the proper maps and/or GPS to ensure you don't have traffic in front of you when you ride. • The second subgroup, covered on Saturday, is Riding Safe. The two primary ideas of riding safely are: positional awareness and how to read a road, any road. • The third subgroup, covered on Sunday, is learning and practicing the Art of Riding Smooth. The four primary ideas are: thinking ahead of your motorcycle, understanding/using your engine's power band, seamless shifting and brakeless braking. By the end of the weekend you will have learned how to "disappear" onto Invisible Roads and how to ride them with an exciting, new level of expertise. |
A Rider's Workshop is broken down into three subgroups covered over both Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday, riders will meet at Bob's at 8:30AM sharp. You'll find Jim at the picnic table on the grass in front of the store. Jim will begin by reviewing the necessary maps and how to plan a route using Invisible Roads. He'll also show you how to configure a GPS for riding those same Invisible Roads. Afterward the group will set out to spend the day on a route Jim has set up that showcases some of the very best Invisible Roads in our area. For the best communication, The Rider's Workshop will provide high-end radio earbuds to each person for individual instruction/reinforcement, as well as to keep the group together.
On Sunday, we'll meet again at various pre-determined rendezvous points for another full day exploring Invisible Roads and learning the Art of Riding Smooth.

A few important things to remember:
1. Top off your gas tank BEFORE arriving at Bob’s
in the morning.
2. Be on time!
3. Your tires and other equipment must be safe. Jim will do a cursory
inspection of each bike before the ride and he reserves the right to deny
you a place in the ride if anything about your bike presents a safety
risk.
4. Research and know the RPM value for maximum torque of your motorcycle.
