Privacy Policy
Bob's BMW takes every precaution to protect our customers' information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, that information is protected both online and off-line. Bob's BMW takes care to reinforce the importance of our web site visitors' security and privacy. We are continually re-evaluating and deploying new technologies to enhance our security. The Internet Revolution and You (or…Bad-Ass Bikers do Battle with Big Brother) We know that motorcyclists can sometimes be an iconoclastic lot, perhaps even suspicious of those who might intrude on their privacy, or somehow compromise their individuality. Well, please remember - we're motorcyclists too. And it has always been our wish to treat our customers the same way we'd like to be treated! In having an internet presence, our aim is only to improve our service to you. By knowing more about who our customers (or potential customers) are, and what they ride, we hope to fine-tune the products and services we offer. The data we gather may be used in other ways, too. Your home phone number, for instance, is used as the "key" number to your information in our data base. We like to have your daytime phone number on record because that's where we're most likely to find you when a question arises about an order you've placed. Therefore, if something comes up, we can provide information or solve the problem RIGHT AWAY, whenever possible. It's part of our commitment to service. We have no intention of sending spam, or pestering you at home during dinner with cold calls. But because you ride, and because you've told us you're interested in products for BMW motorcycles, we think it's reasonable that you might like to know about an upcoming sale or event. And with the ability to sort and classify data, we could pass on information about a service bulletin, a new product, or a safety issue that pertains specifically to the bike you ride! Does this make you nervous? . . . like it's all just one step away from the day when evil world-government authorities in black helicopters swoop down on your cabin in Montana to confiscate your old R100/7 because the information they obtained by hacking into our data base indicates that the VIN number on the frame doesn't match the registration - not to mention the fact that you violated EPA regulations when you purchased main jets one size too big! Or, do you trust us to use information wisely and fairly - to our mutual benefit, and above all, to safeguard your privacy? Remember, Bob's is a business (25 years old now) with a reputation for exceptional service to the BMW motorcycling community. We certainly have an interest in preserving that reputation. We welcome a meaningful dialog. If you would like to comment on this issue, please send your brief e-mail directly to Bob. And here’s the Boring LEGAL Stuff (that we’re required to post) Graham-Leach-Bliley Privacy Notice In connection with your transaction we may obtain nonpublic personal information about you, and that information is handled as stated in this notice. 1) We collect personal nonpublic information about you from the following sources:
