What to Expect from BMW in 2013

Get ready…here come 2013 model updates! BMW USA is beginning to reveal new colors, discontinued colors, new options and packages, and brand new models to the current lineup! Here’s an outline of what we know so far.

 
2013 Scooters

The long awaited scooters are due to deliver to dealers in the fall! Anyone on the list for this incredible machine, will be included every step of its delivery from the day its put on the boat, to the day it arrives in the states, until it reaches Bob’s parking lot; which in the past, when schedules permit, customers have been on the lot while their machines are being uncrated!

 2013 F700GS and F800GS

Also new to the lineup this year, is the F700GS which is replacing the infamous F650GS. The F650GS and F800GS came onto the scene back in 2007 in an effort to extend the GS family and were both responded to with tons of enthusiasm. The 650 is being replaced with the 700 and the 800 has new and improved updates. BMW stepped up for 2013 and took something already great and made it even better!

2013 F700GS
This bike is geared to the entry level, medium category rider. It is perfect for everyday use, and has more than sufficient power for off road adventures, all while still offering outstanding economy.

Features include:

• Standard ABS
• Optional Automatic Stability Control (ASC) and Electronic Suspension Adjustment (ESA)
• Increased output and torque (75hp at 7,300rpm) pulled from the liquid-cooled 4 valve 2 cylinder engine with 798 cc
• Electronic fuel injection
• Closed loop catalytic converter
• 6-speed gear box
• Double disc brake
• Latest generation BMW Motorrad switches
• Cockpit with new dial faces and extended range of information
• LED rear light
• Lowered suspension
• Comfort package option: heated grips, etc.
• Available in Red apple metallic, Ostra grey metallic, and Glacier silver metallic

2013 F800GS
Updates to this model were made to continue the GS success story. You will find what is offered in the 700, in the 800 with some slight variations. Below outlines the major differentiating technical features between the two models:

2013 New Color Options
 
2013 BMW R1200R will be available in Montego Blue, Magnesium Beige Metallic. Red Apple Metallic and Smoke Gray will no longer be available.
 
2013 BMW S100RR will be available in Granite Grey Metallic. Bluefire will no longer be available.

2013 BMW K1300S will be available in Sapphire Black Metallic/Dark Graphite Metallic. Magma Red/Sapphire Black Metallic will no longer be available.
 
2013 BMW K1300R will be available in Racing Red/Sapphire Black Metallic and Sapphire Black Metallic/Black Satin gloss. Ostra Grey Metallic, Light Grey Metallic and Black Satin Gloss/Granite Grey Metallic Matt will no longer be available.
 
2013 BMW K1600GT will be available in Dark Graphite Metallic and Montego Blue. Vermillion Red Metallic no longer available.
 
2013 BMW K1600GTL will be available in Dark Graphite Metallic and Damask Red Metallic. Royal Blue will no longer be available.
