1986 BMW R80RT

1986 BMW R80RT
Blue • 25,608
stock number 490662
$5,495

Very clean, low mileage classic BMW that you can ride anywhere. Includes BMW Touring Saddlebags, HD Progressive Fork Springs, Koni Rear Shock, New Windscreen, BMW Knee pads, BMW Clock & Voltmeter, BMW fork boots, Tool kit, tire repair kit & owner manual included. New driveshaft and all related stuff in 2009 and less than 1000 miles on the tires. There's a small rattle in one muffler, assorted paint chips from daily use, a 3" scrape in the pin stripe on one side and the paint is failing on the valve covers which is also common, but otherwise a nice machine all around and a fine value.

2003 BMW R1150RT-P
Police • 107,000
stock number E88875

$5,995

Truly one of the cleanest used real RT-P’s we’ve seen in a while and while it has almost 107,000 miles but it looks like it barely saw service, clearly it’s been well cared for and does everything you’d want in a good dependable attention getting solo sport touring machine. It has the upgrade BMW comfort seat, a Throttlemeister Cruise Control, the Police Note Pad holder, Front and rear cylinder and crash guards plus an electric deer whistle and an aftermarket larger brake pedal pad. This model also came equipped with ABS, built in factory driving lamps, and heated grips plus an easier to read set of gauges so you know exactly how fast you might be traveling. These can be converted to dual seats but we think they are best left as is.

Based on past BMW RT-P or Authority models we’ve offered we are fairly sure that the clutch was replaced long before it ceased being an official CHP bike and made its way east. It feels solid as a rock at this time. It’s been fully serviced here at Bob’s by the last owner over the past two years and saw a new center stand installed in 2009 along with a new rear disc and pads and a pair of Metzeler ME880’s, then a new battery was installed in June of 2010 --- all of that was done within the last 500 miles. We just performed a Maryland State Inspection which it easily passed and added a new headlight bulb and replaced the rear shock with a perfect used, low mileage original.

All net proceeds from this sale go to charity, specifically the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation who sponsor the Ride for Kids program, thanks to a very generous and kind customer.

$5,995 is a steal and takes it home.

2010 Honda Shadow RS 2010 Honda Shadow RS
White • 6,339 miles
stock number 000205
$5,995

A really unique bike on the market right now, classic cruiser looks on a chassis that handles. You get a classic 745cc fuel injected and liquid-cooled V-Twin making a solid 60hp running through chain drive and a 5 speed ‘box all weighing in at 500lb wet and getting 56mpg. With a nice 29” seat height that’s a pretty tidy package. This one was purchased just under a year ago and just traded on a 2011 BMW G650GS. There is the tiniest of nicks on the top of the rear fender that I attempted to photograph but it’s the only flaw. It’s a really nice middle weight bike that can serve as a great starter, excellent commuter, or just you weekend run about.

Carter,

Thanks again for a great experience with you and your staff. I have known your of your dealership for over 7 years and having you as a former client was torture seeing those BMW's every time I came by. I made a plan to be sitting on my own Rrad Bike within 10 years and WOW here we are early. My first ride on my new bike was befitting for Motorrad. I think it was about 35.6 degrees Saturday morning, however the ride was amazing. I am sure my friend on his Buell wishes he had heated hand grips too (he had to borrow my cold weather gloves). The F800GS is everything I could ask for in a bike and if I take care of it......my son may be riding it 10 years from now. I am looking forward to many great years of working with you guys and I can assure you that I will be a "Bob's Customer" for life.

Thanks again!

Sincerely,
Joe

1999 BMW K1200RS

1999 BMW K1200RS
RED • 2,800 miles
stock number A52093
$7,995

This may be the most perfect used classic in line 4-cylinder BMW you'll ever find! A 1999 that came from the original owner with under 2,800 miles honest to gosh miles in flawless cosmetic shape and excellent mechanical condition. We just performed every service we believe it should have to be sent out with the Bob's Stamp of Approval including a full Bi-Annual Service with coolant, brake fluid and bleed. It also got a fresh fuel pump as they don't generally store that well and we did not want it failing down the road. A set of new Metzeler ME Z8's were installed and we resealed the water pump as a preventive measure. A fresh battery and the stringent MSI and PPI inspection process brought this brand new looking 13 year old beauty to the sales floor.

It arrived with a super clean BMW tank bag(shown) and the lockable BMW rear soft bag (not shown) mounted to the BMW luggage rack and a Throttlemesiter bar end weights/cruise control set. It has ABS of course, the stock adjustable seat and windscreen and cranks out a reported 130 HP for some amazing road and stress management. The factory Marrakesh Red paint looks like it just left the factory and every bit of hardware, the wheels, the exhaust system and gauges, controls, etc. all look like they came from a museum. Please note that the photos were taken before it was serviced and shined up so it literally looks even better.

Bob almost kept this one for the Museum but the staff told him that they want to sell it because it needs an owner that will start riding it frequently as most museum models get just a little exercise so it's available and not expected to last long because it's been drawing a great deal of attention just being in the service department awaiting that freshening up.

1997 Ural BMW Sidecar

1997 Ural/BMW Sidecar Rig
Black
stock number 194738

Offered at a very reasonable $7,995

This special rig represents a smart, fun, low cost and charitable way to get into sidecars. Charitable because all net proceeds (about $6500) from this sale go to support the work of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (PBTF), the non-profit that sponsors the Ride for Kids events across the country. Want more info on this try this link: www.rideforkids.org and this all came to be thanks to the very generous friend of Bob and Bob's BMW who donated it so we could raise some money for a very worthy cause and organization.

It's special because it's not your typical URAL sidecar rig. It has been painstakingly converted to include a complete BMW driveline that includes a R100 motor, a 5 speed transmission, the BMW driveshaft, swing arm, 34/11 final drive (3:09 ratio) and a /6 rear wheel. Basically the entire heart and soul has been upgraded to make a fine chassis a dependable, solid, powerful and fun sidecar rig. If we did the same for a customer that already owned a URAL rig it might cost what this entire outfit is being offered at! Paint wise it is really nice in a sat ion black finish against the stock gloss frame.

But there's more good stuff. It has relatively fresh tires and a full service done here at Bob's, a brand new starter was installed plus we've gone around the entire rig checking everything we could to insure that it appears to be very roadworthy. We've updated some electrical connections, added a real starter switch, some new fuel filters and generally performed the shake down routine so that you don't need to. There's a trunk full of assorted spares and items the builder pulled off that are also included.

And there's still more goodies. A pair of WWII style saddlebag/ammo carriers attached to the sidecar nose as was common and a genuine BMW R80/R100GS PD gas tank that's been fitted in place of the semi ugly stock tank (sorry URAL fans) which is worth $1500 all by itself! The interior of the sidecar is in great shape and the automotive style battery is housed in the trunk of the sidecar for A) good weight
distribution and B) lots of extra cranking power of juice for adding all sorts of extras of your selection. An extra loud horn, oversized clock, luggage rack and spare wheel/tire and voltmeter rounds out the list but
if you browse the images you'll find more I'm sure.

1999 BMW R1200C

1999 BMW R1200C
BLACK • 2,390 miles
stock number A64038

$8,995

This might be the cleanest used BMW R1200C on the planet. Just 2,390 miles when it arrived at Bob's from the original owner who lived in the in the greater Maryland, Washington, DC and Northern Virginia area. Finished in Classic BMW Avus Black with
white pinstripes. About the only part that shows a little age arte the spokes on the wheels but we've not yet set to washing or detailing this bike, let alone doing the service.

This machine will see a through going over including the full Bi-Annual, new front and rear tires, fresh alternator belt, fresh brake hoses and a complete bleed and adjust on the entire ABS system will start a new owner out properly.

It starts, runs, shifts and stops like a new machine because it basically is and never spent even 1 hour in the rain according to the first owner. Owner's manual, 2 keys and the tool kit are included as are the very cool stock BMW flip up riders back rest/buddy seat and factory cylinder guards/highway pegs. Grab this one before your friends!

2002 BMW K1200LTC 2002 BMW K1200LTC
Toscano Green • 55,476 miles
stock number ZD76307
$8,995

It's hard to find a nicer BMW luxury tourer for under $10,000 anywhere in Maryland, Virginia or the greater DC area and maybe anywhere! We've brought all services up to date including new rear pads, fork seals, a full bi-annual service with coolant and brake fluid plus we selected to brighten it up and replace the saddlebag trim strips and the front cylinder protection covers. This machine easily passed our stringent MSI/PPI process and lacks nothing but a new owner who desires to ride it. It has a headlight guard, Z-Tech windscreen, chrome luggage rack on the trunk, heated grips and seat, electronic cruise control, riders pe lowering kit (can also be removed) and adjustable rear passenger pegs.< It also has an extra accessory outlet, owner books, tool kit and 2 keys. The original Toscano Green paint is in pretty god shape all around with just a little touch up noted.

A steal we believe at $8,995

2002 BMW R1200C
Montana Green • 17,913 miles
stock number ZA67784
Offered at $9,295 under the Advantage Certified Program.
Exclusively from Bob's BMW.

OMG! this is a very sweeet, barely ridden, at least by our standards, classic BMW cruiser with Anti-lock
Brakes (ABS). The R1200C was one of the most popular bikes BMW ever made and a pure shame it was discontinued. We'd need pages and pages and maybe some good beer to wax on about the why's and what could have been on this topic. But we have been fortunate to get more than our fair share of very nice used examples and this is one of the nicest in the last 12 months. It is what's called a Montana edition meaning it came from BMW with a very specific set of extras, at an extra cost. BMW selected these accessories based on dealer input so it's stuff 99% wanted on their bikes and we sold and installed.

This one has it all and some more goodies. The BMW leather covered saddlebags and chrome mounts. The full size BMW rear passenger seat. The BMW cylinder guards/foot rest. The BMW Touring windscreen. BMW Heated grips and the chrome mirrors. It also has the BMW accessory outlet, chrome valve covers and one of the nicest colors they ever painted, again in our opinion as color is a very personal decision. It also has a set of brushed aluminum Moto Lites, rear auxiliary LED brake lights, A very sweet set of polished aluminum handlebar extensions compliment all the other perfect chrome on this cruiser. There are also two reflective strips on the lower rear section of both bags for added, yet tasteful visibility.

We just performed a full 18,000 mile service and replaced a bulb that had failed. It just passed the tough Maryland State Inspection or MSI and while the tires are not brand new they are in exceptional condition
with no signs of dry rot, cracking or uneven wear. There are a very few minor scratches on one muffler and an ever so small amount of aging on the chrome plated alloy wheels but it's minor enough that we'd have to get down on our knees and show it to you. As this bike is still within ten years of age it can qualify for our Advantage Certified Program too.

This machine is only in need of a new owner that will care for it as well as the last one did. There's miles to be ridden and adventures to be enjoyed on the great roads in the Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Delaware region and this beautiful BMW is ready to take you there.

Lava Orange • 22,092 miles
stock number ZV93496
$13,295

Here’s one a little differently equipped at a great price we just picked up from a regular customer and Club member. This bike features ABS II brakes, heated grips, OBC, and shift assist from the factory, a little more pared down in terms of the technology for those who prefer a “purer” experience. It also features and MRA wind screen with flip up / adjustable winglet. You also get the updated for ’09 transverse water cooled and fuel injected 4 cylinder motor, updated for ’09 6 speed ‘box, shaft drive and paralever and Duolever suspensions. These bikes make 175hp, do it with ease and in all day comfort. The 18K valve check service was completed 10/10 at Morton’s and we just did a full bi-annual service with coolant, replaced the front discs, so all major and minor services are current and complete. This bike is under full factory warranty until 7/25/12 or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Hey Carter,

Just wanted to thank you for helping me get my new 2011 BMW R 1200 RT. It was such a pleasure working with you and so nice to have such a professional, well stocked dealership in Bob's BMW, both in terms of bike inventory and a full range of accessories and supplies. In this day and age of internet online sales, it's great to have access to a dealership with physical inventory on hand that you can see, touch, and kick the tires. The demo ride convinced me to get the R 1200 RT instead of the F 800 ST, so that is a great thing that you provide the opportunity to try out different bikes. I really don't see how other dealerships and bike brands can get away with not offering that service.

Say Hi to Bob, and I will certainly see you guys again when I take the bike in for the 600 mile service and check out more accessories!

I've attached some pics that Telly snapped during the delivery.

Thanks again, and best regards,
Paul

2009 Honda ST1300 ABS and EML GT2001 Sidecar
Dark Candy Red • 1,261miles
INQUIRE

This outfit belonged to Mike Traynor, the incredible man who, along with his wife Diane, founded the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and the Ride for Kids program. Mike was looking forward to making this his personal rig, but due to his untimely death last September, the work was halted as it began. Diane Traynor as Bob to help her find a suitable home for what would have been Mike's sidecar rig.

Some details: The EML GT2001 is an exceptional sidecar that was built in Holland. The Honda was an executive bike and is in brand new condition! The sidecar has been fully prepped and is ready to be painted to match the ST1300. Final painting and assembly can be done by Bob's BMW or by the purchaser. Bob is authorized to sell the sidecar kit independently of the bike should someone who already owns a Honda ST1300 and wishes to install it on their own bike. Please know that the ST1300 will be sold separately if the EML Sidecar kit is sold first. Click HERE to see the full ad!

Interested? Of course you are! For further discussion and inquiry, or to arrange a personal inspection, or simply to learn how you can help the PBTF, please email Bob Henig or call him at 301-497-8949 x218.

Is this all we have to offer? OF COURSE NOT!
Bob's has always been known for keeping one of the largest inventories of new and used BMW's on hand 12 months a year. Because we sell so many bikes (1 customer at a time) we simply choose not to show you a photo (or line listing) of every bike available and clog up the site. But rest assured we have the new or used bike (and plenty of non BMW's) you desire available, and if we don't have it right now it's probably on a truck or in a ship heading here so it will be ready for you very soon.

Please Note: The mileage listed on each motorcycle is the mileage at time of intake. Bob's offers a demo ride program on almost all used bikes in inventory so mileage will vary at time of sale. Sometime the mileage can be 100's of miles different and while we endeavor to list accurate mileage it is a guide for the approximate mileage on the bike. Actual mileage will be listed at the time of sale.

Bob's wants youBOB WANTS YOU to show us your clean, mechanically perfect and desirable used bikes. We even want your dirty, possibly not run in eleven years and far less than perfect bike too. Regardless of the year, model, condition or brand. Period.

Just TWO requirements:
1) that you have a clear title in your possession, and 2.) you have at least one key to give us. It's that simple.

Our customers are eager for used bikes at every price level. Sure, we want clean, late model bikes, but even if you think your old ride isn’t worth anything, you've got nothing to lose by bringing it in so we can at least have a look and tell you what it’s worth to us. If you can't deliver the bike, we can, within reason, arrange to have it picked up.

Let’s talk about it! Contact Ashton or Bob, either by email or with a phone call to 301-497-8949 (x 237 for Ashton, 218 for Bob) or Toll-Free 888-269-2627. Do it NOW!
